Hello everyone.

My name is Diandra Blake. I am a rising senior at Howard University pursuing a degree in African Studies with a minor in Swahili. I'm from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and I am so happy to be here with you all. A couple of fun facts about me are that I am a dog person, I adore nature, and I've traveled to Africa three times within the past 3 years. Hello everyone!!! My name is Hiwot Ayalew, but I go by Hiwi, and I’m 21 years old. I’m originally from Ethiopia and moved to the U.S. 10 years ago. I’m currently studying Biomedical Engineering at Boston University. I’ve always loved math and science, and I’ve also been really interested in medicine, so this field felt like the perfect fit for me.

I also love watching sports—especially soccer. Music is a big part of my life too. I enjoy all genres, but lately I’ve been really into '70s and '80s jazz, funk, and rock. I’ve especially been listening to a lot of Prince recently.
