I interviewed both my grandmother and my grandfather, who are both from the silent generation because I wanted point of views from how boys and girls grew up and the similarities and differences. I wanted to ask them both pretty much the same questions so that there wasn't any bias in my questions, although I asked them each one personalized question because my grandmother got separated from her twin brother in school by grades and my grandfather was in the navy. I wanted to see how my grandmothers life, growing up with three older brothers versus my grandfather who only had one brother would differ. When I asked about how world war 2 affected them each, my grandfather said that it didn't affect him because he was two when it ended but when I asked my grandmother she said that she saw a plane fly over her and she thought that it was a bomb plane, which is interesting because my grandfather entered the navy in fear that if he didn't he would have been drafted to the Vietnam war so he feared the war but I believe that if World War 2 didn't happen right before his childhood, then he would have maybe thought differently about it.
