I wanted to capture what is special to me and what I feel like I am put on this earth for. Autism is dear to heart. For a long time I wasn’t sure what field of work I wanted to go into but going through life it directed me to kids with special needs. I kept getting pulled in the direction of working with children with Autism or special needs and I really wanted to help. I see first hand that people with disabilities get treated differently and people with disabilities of color a lot more. I pledge to stand up against these inequalities and all the biases and injustices that surround. That is why I put the quote “I can and I will.” We have the ability and now knowledge to do so.
