         <description><![CDATA[<p>Instructions:</p><ol><li><p>Research and explore, in pairs, the most interesting and relevant frameworks and regulations created to establish boundaries for protecting the environment and biodiversity.</p></li><li><p>Create a brief presentation on the most relevant frameworks (at least 1 framework and 1 instrument or boundary per team). Please be sure to communicate among peers which one you will choose and work on.</p><p><br></p><p>Here are some of the most important documents defined during the last few years:</p></li></ol><ul><li><p><a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.fisheries.noaa.gov/national/international-affairs/convention-international-trade-endangered-species-wild-fauna-and#importance-of-cites-for-marine-species">Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora,</a> CITES - 1973.</p></li><li><p><a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.cbd.int/">Convention on Biological Diversity</a>, CBD - 1992: main objectives: Conservation of biological diversity; Sustainable use of its components; Fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from the utilization of genetic resources.</p></li><li><p><a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.cbd.int/doc/strategic-plan/2011-2020/Aichi-Targets-EN.pdf">Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and the Aichi Targets </a>(20 specific targets / 5 Strategic Goals): 2050 vision for biodiversity.
