  • the UEBS places a particular emphasis on digital transformation, and the ways in which technology will change the way we work and learn.
  • I've personally benefitted from online learning. I want to make a contribution to the online learning of the future.
  • The last year of my degree was delivered entirely remotely; when it comes to online learning, I have a sense of what works and what doesn't.

It should also be:

  • user-centred. Virtual learning environments and online resources should be designed to anticipate the goals and questions of the students.
  • accessible. Online learning should be usable and inclusive. No-one should be shut out from a resource that they're entitled to use.
  • collaborative. Higher education involves the teaching of tricky, technical concepts. When learning online, it should be easy for a student to contact their teacher or peers to ask for help.

I want to help make online learning all three of the above.
