         <description><![CDATA[<div>In 1956, Mandela and 150 others were arrested and charged for treason in regards to their political advocacy. They were acquitted, but in 1961 Nelson was again seen by a judge for political offenses. As a result, he and 10 other African National Congress leaders were sentenced to life imprisonment. President B.W. Botha eventually released Mandela in 1990. </div>]]></description>
