I knew I was going through a depressive episode but I had no idea how to tell my parents or ask for their much needed support. Eventually, it got to the point where I was crying 3-4 times a day. When I finally told my dad, he seemed angry that I would ever claim such a thing. Not knowing what to do, I just cried and cried until I had nothing but dry sobs. The next day, though, he apologized and said he'd overreacted.
