As I have carried out research of trends and patterns within my local community of Wakefield, I have uncovered many factors in relation to health and patterns. Here, I have discovered that smoking whilst pregnant is a trend amongst Wakefield. As shown, from 2008 to 2010 the percentage has risen by 1.88%.

Throughout this module, I have widened my knowledge on the Health and Well being in Wakefield. So far, I have found out the statistics on the rates of 9% of children 4-5yrs are obese and 13% deemed as overweight.
I have also discovered that Wakefield has the highest long-term illness count of COPD and Diabetes.
I now understand what Health issues most individuals suffer from within Wakefield from conducting this report and research.

Coming to the end of my report module, I have learnt that the biggest link to trends and patterns of Health and Well being within Wakefield is linked to socio-economic factors. I have uncovered that many individuals within Wakefield, didn't pass GCSEs within school. This has then linked to unemployment, financial difficulty and crime rates. Due to these factors, people cannot then take care of themselves adequately and turn to smoking whilst pregnant, crime and other factors.
