Evacuation: firstly follow the fire safety procedure. Sound the alarm making sure everyone knows there is a fire. Evacuate the building in a calm manner. Ensure that you are at the fire safety point. Then called 999. Someone with authority will do a head count and ensure that everyone is out of the building.

Fire extinguishers used incorrectly: using the wrong fire extinguisher could cause possible harm as it could create an explosion or expands the fire. Ensure that when using a fire extinguisher, you spray at the base of the fire (bottom) as this is where the fire begins.

What to do if an accident occurs: check that the injured person is conscious, ask where they are injured and do not move them. Ensure that the first aider is notified and comes to the injured person. If able to treat on the premises, only the first aider is able to do this. If needed medical attention, call 999 and the injured person will be taken to hospital. The first aider will then file a injury report which will uncle the name of everyone who was at the scene and who was injured. This is kept for insurance reasons up to ten years.

Make sure person is comfortable, reassure them. Stay with them and ask another person to go get first aid. First aid will then decide if person gets treated on site or at hospital. Always make sure incident report is made and logged.
