Aside from involvement within the Miami University community, I plan to seek involvement in regional and/or national organizations that focus on shaping Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives and allow for acclimation to the industry's professional environment. Step Four: Career Advising

Once I gain experience through involvement in Pharmaceutical Sales endeavors at Miami University and regionally/nationally and advance towards graduation, I will then begin to seek advice from the Miami University Career Center and search for a qualified mentor. Hopefully this mentor will then guide me in the right direction as it pertains to the necessary steps that should be taken before searching for a post-grad job as a Sales professional in the Pharmaceutical scope.

Step Five: Resume Building

After receiving information from my Miami University career advisor, I will then turn his or her advice into action and partake in the suggested resume-building activities to aid in the pursuit of my career as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative. This step is crucial in becoming a top candidate as compared to my competitors in the job pool.

Proceedingly, after building a top-of-the-pile resume, I will then research extraneous qualifications that are either required or preferred for Sales Representatives in the Pharmaceutical field. As I do not intend on pursuing any further academic degrees, I will narrow my search to positions that most closely align with my intended plan of action.

This job search will, at the start, be guided by my Miami University career advisor. Once I become comfortable with the basics of searching for positions, I will take over and begin to network with friends, family, colleagues, and peers as well.

I believe that due to my experience obtained at this point that I will be capable of landing a job as a Sales Representative in the Pharmaceutical field.
