- First communication made over email after reading Dolly's blackboard submission. -Richard gave me his instagram art page and I screenshot the pieces which I liked the most and then sent them to him with comments on what I liked about each piece.
- I sent Richard 3 pieces of my writing - one was a short story, one was an automatic writing exercise we did in class about artists and writers, and one was the second summative from last semester. Richard was a bit slow to reply and I started to get worried as I felt as though others were progressing a lot quicker than I was 
- Richard sent some sketches on one of the pieces I'd sent him as he liked the character in this piece. I liked the sketches but couldn't see the full picture for the final piece and felt as though there had been a breakdown in communication 
- I sent Richard some messages asking him for some help - what were his thoughts on my piece, how did he visualise the text and art working on the page, what about the length - I commented that his sketches were quite detailed so maybe I could write more simplistically in contrast - or try poetry - the experimentation lecture had interested me]]> 2020-02-13 18:03:42 UTC https://padlet.com/Ciaravirk/t01d4ta7zijs/wish/445177683 Ciaravirk https://padlet.com/Ciaravirk/t01d4ta7zijs/wish/445177791 - Richard eventually replied, and after writing on blackboard and talking to a few course mates and friends I decided to be more proactive - I read Sasha's blackboard entry and decided storyboarding would've been a good idea, but I felt we were far enough into the project that we had a basic idea 
- I wrote down pages 1-8 and wrote a summary of each section that I planned and sent it to Richard. He responded positively and is now sketching his ideas for the passages. I will now write 8 passages of prose but focusing on thought - interior monologue style perhaps - to contrast with Richards detail 
- our storyboard is a man who has reached the last stop on the bus to his childhood home which he hasn't visited in years, and each page is either a flashback or a reflection on the flashback by the man - the piece ends with him leaving the bus and I told Richard that I'd leave the writing ambiguous as to whether his ending is positive or negative and that he could either choose in his illustrations or also leave it vague ]]> 2020-02-13 18:03:51 UTC https://padlet.com/Ciaravirk/t01d4ta7zijs/wish/445177791 Ciaravirk https://padlet.com/Ciaravirk/t01d4ta7zijs/wish/445177907 - at first I was quite apprehensive about collaborating as I don't like relying on other people and there have been times in this project that have proven my fears to be true, however, the project is looking more positive now and after seeing other people's results it has opened me up to the idea of collaborating again in the future
- after outlining the next stage of work, I found that it was easier to respond to Richards earlier feedback as there was a clear image in my mind of where the project was going 
- one of the major problems I had was that I expected the collboration to include elements of a distributed collaboration, whereas this has definitely been a complimentary collaboration alone - overcoming this expectation and disappointment has allowed me to move forward in the project and focus on creating a good quality final piece of work
