I am from the country home
Surrounded by miles of fields
It feels so free

I am from the wild flowers
The bumble bees that fly all around

And spreading joy
From parents Glenn and Vicki

And kind hearts
From saying grace

The blanket represents how everyone in my family is always cold and we are always under a comfortable blanket. The corn field shows how in my backyard, all you can see is fields. This past year, my family grew half an acre of colorful flowers that are breathtaking. Every Christmas morning is spent as a family under the tree opening presents. The beach represents one of the many different places I have traveled to each summer. And the last picture is a sign of my hometown, the place where I grew up and the place where memories are still being made. I chose the song "Temporary Home" because Carrie Underwood was my favorite artist as a child and it explains how home is where we belong. My favorite part of this poem is where it says that I work hard and never give up. That is how my parents were raised and how I hope to raise my children someday.
