The definition will vary a bit from person to person but I think it means to risk a bit for curiosity and learning, it does not have to be physically exploring but also delving into things like researching, reading books, etc. It is going out of your way to deeply search for something, whether it be science, caves, canyons, nature, etc. Scientists and archaeologists explore different things but they are nonetheless still exploring. It also means to reach out into the unknown not knowing what to expect, these cave explorers don't exactly know what's in them and frankly, there is quite a high mortality rate for these small cramped tunnels, yet they still explore, do they not? Exploring feeds your curiosity and knowledge yet it often leaves you with more questions than you started with. And seemingly, you seem to just keep searching on and on for more answers to more questions leading to more questions . It can be your life's work, or a job, or just some random curiosity that you have about something, everything needs a bit of exploration. A lot of people were successful just because they decided to look into something they were curious about one day, which sparked a whole new passion. You always get put into different situations, and different environments, and you always explore and learn, I don't think these words are that different honestly.

In my point of view, the definition of exploring is to be out of my comfort zone. There is this quote that for me personally, has always been my philosophy, “If you try, you risk failure. If you don’t try, you Guarantee it. Remember That.” From my personal experience, if you expose yourself to new things, new environments, surroundings, or just even being surrounded by new, innovative ideas, it’s almost like you’re being upgraded. I have various examples from my personal experience, but one that I would like to share the most is when I started ice skating, no one around me did it. I was surrounded by talented strangers, they were just amazing skaters, but I was too nervous to talk to them, I didn’t even try to take small risks such as learning a new jump, trying new steps…! However, as my journey continued, I realized that the best way to succeed is to fall, after seeing the other - “Amazing skaters” - also fall too, I started to attempt new jumps, falling almost every time at first, but then gradually over time increased the consistency and then mastered it! I even tried ballet, a lot of my friends laughed at me for being the only boy in the grade to learn ballet (which I turned a deaf ear to) - and although at first, it was really painful (both physically and mentally), it helped me a lot with my flexibility!
In conclusion, for me, exploring means being out of my comfort zone and throughout my journey, exploring has been really essential!

I know that there would be different definitions about what exploring mean. For me, exploring means learning about a subject that you never heard or learned about before. A lot of people think that exploring means to go somewhere and have an adventure, but it can be simpler. For instance, if you are educating yourself about caves at home, you can say that you are exploring about that subject. It's because you are teaching yourself about a new subject you never learned before. This is the same as going to a cave physically and have an adventure. The only thing that's different is that when you are exploring at home, you have to use your creative brain to imagine. On the other hand, if you are in a cave, you don't really need to imagine. The other things are the same. For example, learning at home and in caves can both teach you about caves. Additionally, they will both surprise your brain with new informations. Thus, I would say again that for me, exploring means learning new things that interests your brain.

To explore is basically to learn from things that you don't know before. You can explore another country, a certain place, or just a website,... You can be a tourist to explore, a native person, or exploring can be a job for you. Usually, people explore new places to find certain information about that place or just to visit and go to a place that they don't know much about but also don't know what to expect. For the explorer, frequently go to places that are still a piece of the missing puzzle. They go there to find information and to learn about it. During our daily life, we can explore websites, new schools, or just new pieces of information that we just absorb. This usually comes from our curiosity. Or maybe we just want to find something new to learn about. ........

A World With Gender Equality - Linh Dan, Minso

A person's gender would not matter as much to their identity. It would just be like your hair or eye color, a biological part of you, but not essential to who you are. This allows for people to get to know themselves more and feel comfortable exploring the intricacies of their individuality. Girls would be able to play soccer without feeling left out, and boys could participate in ballet without being ostracized. People are not limited by stereotypes and gender expectations and be more open about who they are as a person. Both groups can also be held accountable for their actions. Women are often criticized less for their behavior, and men are perceived as being more capable of malice. If the world had gender equality, people would be judged fairly without societal norms and gender expectations playing a part.

Gender equality is a topic that attracts a lot of attention and is also a very controversial topic, its meaning is also debated a lot and a lot of people have very different definitions of what gender equality means, but we think that it should be for both sides to have equality as well. Feminism should not just be women purely hating on men for them being men, and a lot of the time they use a decently small percentage of men, to represent the whole population of them, and a lot of the time its individual based. I think that both men and women are trapped within a box of stereotypes that society stamps on them every day, week, and year, for their entire life, and then they end up spreading those ideals to their children, to be “manly”, “feminine”. Men have to be the strong, dominant protectors and women have to be “feminine”, work in the kitchen, and not be aggressive and “masculine”. As a good example of the controversy of this topic, we’ll talk about Islam. There are different interpretations of the Quran, and some interpretations clearly state the different gender roles, masculinity, and femininity. Yet in another interpretation, the Quran clearly states that Allah created men and women both equally, not subordinate to each other and clearly wants them to have equal rights. Hadith Sahih Bukhari - a famous Muslim philosopher, states that a man is expected to be the “guardian of (his) family,” whereas a woman is expected to be the “guardian of her husband's home and his children.” In some Muslim-based countries, women are legally restricted from practising certain rights.

In conclusion, entirely true gender equality would look very different, you’ll see female construction workers, them working in the same fields as men with equal pay, and much more and I think this is a better view of how gender equality is. Than just being man-haters which isn’t what this is about. Men keep up a large part of this infrastructure so why stomp on them and their rights?

Gender inequality is still major in some parts of the world such as Pakistan and Iraq. This is when both gender, male and female, have equal rights, responsibilities, and opportunities. In the past, when gender equality was not supported by many people, women's lives were often very difficult and unfair. At that time, society did not attach too much importance to a woman's education, because in their opinion, when a woman reaches the age of marriage, the only thing to do is to take care of and take care of their family. Not only women, but men also have problems with gender inequality. They were forced not to be weak, not to cry, they always have to be strong, and be like a man. Nowadays, most of the female population can go to school and can wear whatever they want. Of course, gender inequality is still a problem in some countries mentioned above. According to UNICEF, 1 in 4 girls between the age between 15 and 19 can be employed or in education compared to 1 in 10 boys. The ideal world with true gender inequality is basically when women are treated right. When they can be paid the same amount as men for the same work. When they can choose when to get married, and their safety is the top priority. Unlike nowadays, females can have a higher risk of gender-based violence. These days, girls are still struggling with child marriage and female genital mutilation. In conclusion, gender inequality is still a problem everywhere and we think that everyone and every sex deserve equal treatment.

Asian Parents vs Western Parents (Minh Van)

Parenting styles can vary, however, there are 2 main styles that I’ll be mentioning in this piece of writing, the ‘Western Parents’ and the ‘Asian Parents’. The 2 ways of parenting styles, although sharing a common goal of trying to bring the best for their kids, have different approaches.

If one’s scrolling through social media pages and websites lately, they will 99 per cent have at least one time seen the meme of “emotional damage” by the YouTuber Steven He. This meme, although at first sounds quite funny, really can sum up the ‘Asian’ parenting style. Asian parenting style shares the same values as the ‘Authoritarian Parenting Style’. So basically, what is ‘Authoritarian Parenting Style’? It is parent-driven, meaning that parents choose who their kids’ friends are, how they are dressed, and what time they sleep, with very strict rules and punishments. Goals are incredibly high and due to the fact that this style of parenting is parent-driven, it’s usually a ‘one-way communication’, with little consideration of a child's social, emotional and physical needs. This sometimes leads to the child being mentally or/and physically ill when they’re always stressed out due to the constant stress and pressure from their parents. However, for some, they’re able to cope with it and become very successful in their career.

On the other hand, ‘Western Style’ is usually more ‘relaxed’. The term ‘relaxed’ can be defined as not much pressure and they (western parents) usually care more about the child’s mental and physical health. However, there are some cons to this when some kids’ took this as a chance to misbehave. But for others, it works perfectly fine when they are still able to focus and concentrate on learning new skills,…

In conclusion, I think being able to find the balance between both styles is the best choice, when for each style, there are pros, and cons, giving each a different ‘strength’. Thus, considering the child’s opinion is very important to maintain a healthy and balanced life!

With the differences between Eastern and Western values, there are some notable similarities and differences between parenting styles.

Eastern parents are more supportive, form stronger emotional bonds with their children, and expect more from them. They are stricter when it comes to most aspects of parenting only because they want the best for their child. This can be limiting, since the path that guarantees the most comfortable outcome might not be what the child wants to pursue. This is because, in a lot of situations, their predecessors struggled with poverty and didn’t want the generations following them to have to face the same problem. So they steer them in the most familiar, stable path that’s been walked many times before- typically that of a doctor, lawyer or engineer. While the goal is to help children become the most successful version of themself, unrelenting demands and high expectations can cause stress and burn-out, leaving many to spend their childhood studying instead of exploring and having fun. Parents are also protective, and while this provides an ideal nurturing environment, it also prevents them from learning the necessary skills needed later in life.

The Western parenting style is more lenient and focuses more on individuality. Children are encouraged to pursue their interests and less academic pressure is put on them. They push their children to be independent and allow them much more freedom than typical Eastern parents. While this style allows for the child to explore their interests and pursue what they want to do, it places less importance on academic and causes underachieving. In cases where parents are too soft, it leads to laziness and bad habits.

Both styles place importance on a child’s happiness but in different ways. The Eastern style focuses on wealth and prestige as an indicator of happiness, while the Western style focuses on a child’s dreams and personal pursuits. There are exceptions, of course, but in any case parents should strive to understand their children, give them the necessary skills and ethics, and provide a balanced growing environment.

Western and Asian parents have various parenting styles. In learning, most Asian adults often put high expectations on their children, asking them to get good scores in exams and tests. This approach helps children see how important it is to study and always try their best, but at the same time it also makes it easy to put the pressure on students. Meanwhile, Western parents usually don’t put much emphasis on grades, they will just ask their children to try harder next time when they get bad grades. It gives children closeness to their parents, allows them to form a perception that learning is not for grades. However, it can also make lazy people much more lazy since they don’t get any punishment. Furthermore, Western parents care much about their childrens’ personal space and will let them be comfortable with their freedom. Unfortunately, not many parents in Asia have this mindset, most adults always want to know what their children do and where they are, even though this is because they love and worry about them, it still makes many kids feel uncomfortable. On the other hand, the biggest thing parents have in common is that they both love their children, and want the best for them. They always support their child even though in different ways, it is undeniable that the dedication and efforts they make for their children to have a good life.

Western and Asian parents are both parents, but there are a lot of differences, yet a lot of similarities. Well, clearly, most parents show their love in different ways, but inside, they always want the best for their kids. The sacrifices they make for their kids, the money they spend and also the time they spend to teach and educate their kids.

Despite the care and treatment, they might show love in several ways, especially between Asian and Western parents. For Asian parents, it’s more on the violence side. I think every Asian kid got hit at least one time by a broom or a chopstick. Even though they love us, sometimes they don’t really listen and understand that kids nowadays are impacted by their parents’ words. In addition, it is clear that Asian parents are much stricter and have higher expectations for their kids. They think that this is the best way they can educate and make that child a better person. Well, this can be either good or bad. The kid can be successful but it might not be the successful they want, instead, it is their parents’. Since it is used from generation to generation, it is really a “will-do” thing for the next Asian generation unless they really know the problem and change it. For Western parents, they seem to care more about their children’s feelings and thoughts, which won’t put muchpressure on the kid. They are more carefree and really have the kids enjoy their independent life without academic expectations. Unfortunately, this can make the kid’s behavior more out of control, sometimes. But mostly, they are fine and behave very well!

Therefore, Asian and Western parents' ways of educating their children in general can be good, yet bad for their kid’s future and psychology.

There are many parenting styles around the world and parents’ parenting styles are different. However, generally Western parents are authoritative while Asian parents are authoritarian. Western parents who normally use an authoritative parenting style, solving problems together with the child. They have open communication and natural consequences. On the other hand, most Asian parents are authoritarian. It means that it is parent- driven, and there are strict rules and punishment. It is a one-way communication and there are little consideration of a child's behavioral needs. Asian parents also do not praise often. Western parents are softer and they try to solve problems with their child. There is often no or little punishment. Asian parents are more strict. They give strong and clear punishments to teach the children. Both parenting styles are different, but there is one thing in common. It is that the parents love their children and therefore they are using these parenting styles. Western parents are softer and avoid conflicts because they love their kids. Asian Parents also use strict rules to teach them the right things since they love their children. Due to the cultural difference between Western and Asian areas, parenting styles vary, but the fact that parents love them does not change.

Asian parenting styles and Western parenting styles are the opposite of each other. According to the book, Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother, it says that, “Western parents try to respect their children’s individuality, encouraging them to pursue their true passions, supporting their choices, and providing positive reinforcement and a nurturing environment. By contrast, the Chinese believe that the best way to protect their children is by preparing them for the future, letting them see what they’re capable of, and arming them with skills, work habits, and inner confidence that no one can ever take away.” This is a very realistic quote that applies to Asian and Western parents. As this book said, Western parents are authoritative while Asian parents are authoritarians. Authoritative means that Western parents are a bit loose about their children, encouraging, focus on steps (not on results), communicate with their children, and they respect children’s opinions. On the other hand, Asian parents are strict, they focus on achievements, and make a lot of disciplines. Both of the parenting styles have disadvantages and advantages. While Western parenting might make children independent and sociable, the children might not succeed in the future, or they might even get spoiled. However, Asian parenting styles can make children successful when they grow up to be an adult, even though the process might be a bit stressful and make the children unsociable. These two parenting styles seem excessively distinctive, but there are some similarities between them. Both parents, from Asia and from Western countries love their children, and will do everything for them. It is just that they express their love with their own unique styles.

It’s not an easy thing to remember all the information.

What’s more is that it can also be harmful to our eyes and other body parts if we kept staring at one screen just to look up for something while we can explore or remember the information. For example, maths, in all math exams we need to remember all of the equations and how we do it without using our calculator. People might think it’s impossible to remember every equations when we can practice it and try harder.

In conclusion l, we can’t just rely everything on the internet to help us with work when we can use our knowledge that we know about it and the sources that the others know and told you.

Nowadays, more and more people are depending on the Internet for information about the world. This makes people to not make use of their memory. Even though search engines like Google has a lot of information, there are still reasons why people should use their brain's memory every time.
First of all, there are still some facts that people cannot find in the Internet. For instance, people cannot find their memories of their family in the Internet. Hence, their events requires their memory. They cannot rely on the Internet to remember all of their memory.
Second, not all informations on the Internet are accurate. Some people might post their opinions on the Internet and other people might use them as facts. If Internet isn't reliable, people have no choice but to depend on their memory.
Finally, keeping our brain healthy is essential for mental health. One way to do this is to use memorization. Memorizing keeps the brain active. On the other hand, using the Internet forces people to damage their own brains.
To sum up, using our memorization skills might seem harder. However, it is more useful than using the Internet. Internet can never defeat humans' brains.

Nowadays information is very widely available on the internet, and frankly, most people get a lot of their information from google and search browsers.

I think this is a good way to learn information but being able to remember information is still better than having to search for whatever information all the time. A pocket encyclopedia about literally everything is useful but sometimes you won’t have access to wifi or service and/or you won’t have your phone in general. Your phone also might run out of battery, for a lot of professions you need to remember how to do stuff as well.

Most professions require you to remember what you need to do for those professions, that’s why medical school is 8 years. They can’t just have you doing surgery and then forgetting what to do so you google it. A lot of the information will be wrong while you are doing a life risking surgery. You can’t also just be doing a job interview and then having to go on google and search something up, it must come from you. You can do research on these things online beforehand but you still have to memorize them by heart.

A lot of information on google is great too but unless it’s from a reliable source or organization, the information most likely won’t be completely fact checked. And a lot of the information on google comes from sketchy websites and organizations so you never know if some of the information is just a fact or a myth. In fact, a lot of people are fooled because they fall for these myths/accusations too without actual evidence to back it up. And the people already believing the myths going on the internet to fact check them, don’t actually read the evidence, they just want gratification, your idea being accepted by others.

I think that the internet is a great learning tool and it is very much used by most schools currently, but you can’t always rely on the internet for immediate information all of the time.

Nowadays, as long as you have access to the internet, it only takes one click and the majority of the information that you need will appear on your screen in less than 1 second.

However, you cannot rely on the internet all the time when nowadays, fake information is everywhere. How would you possibly know if that information is reliable or not? You can easily see a newspaper reporting that a singer has passed away but that singer is performing right in front of your naked eyes!

Furthermore, internet access is not always available. For instance, if you’re trapped inside a cave where there’s literally no internet and no electricity, how would you find food that is edible? How would you find water that’s drinkable? Going onto your device, open a browser and search? No, you can’t, due to the fact that there’s no internet. What are you going to do? Starve? Being dehydrated? Or getting food poisoning?

On the other hand, if you have the skills to be able to make a fire and find food that is not poisoned, that is ‘edible’; maybe it’s not tasty at all, but at least you have the chance to survive, to not starve!

In addition, sometimes, you need to make an important decision, the internet is there to help you. Nonetheless, you’re the one who’s deciding, who’s in charge and without knowing the fundamentals or having the basic knowledge, how would you make the best choice?

As well as that, browsing the internet every time means that you’re spending more time staring at your device. This would potentially make your eyesight worse and also lower your social awareness. What if you’re crossing through the street while still staring at your device, you may trip, or get bumped into.

Finally, to sum up, the internet is a good tool to help you, but it shall not be the replacement of our brain!

Nowadays, when technology is more advanced and it is easier to look up information on the Internet, there are some opinions that people will stop having to remember things, but instead use the internet to help us in this.

The Internet is a useful tool in daily life, it makes it easier to get the information we need with just a few clicks of the mouse. Almost all the information we need is available on google, such as how to solve a math problem, English vocabulary or information about famous places to visit, this makes memorization unnecessary or even redundant. However, not everyone can use internet access, think of the homeless or the poor in the mountains, most of them don't even have a computer to look up information. Moreover, we cannot always use the phone to look up details. The research takes time, while there are things we need immediately.

On the other hand, we cannot all be sure that the information on the internet is real. The development of technology means more and more hackers are rampant and it is difficult for the government to control social networks. This leads to a lot of misinformation being spread out of control, and who knows if the information you need is correct or not.

In conclusion, it can be seen that although technology can help us in many things, we still need to remember and learn by ourselves.

However, we cannot always rely on the internet since there are times when we will not be able to access the internet. We will have to remember some information so that we can live even if we can not access the internet.

Moreover, the information online is not always true. There may be wrong facts since everyone can access the internet. For example, anyone can change and edit the information on Wikipedia. If we just rely on the internet and do not remember things, we will have the wrong information.

Also, using only the internet will decrease our social skills. When we are always searching for information online, we will always be on our phones, Ipads, or computers. Then, we will have less time to communicate with our family, friends, or other people.

When talking about searching for information, you might think of Google or Safari. Just by a few clicks and you are able to find what you are looking for. That way you don’t have to remember anything because it is all in one place. Well since this topic can be controversial each person will have a different point of view.

Everyone can agree that you can find most of the things on the internet nowadays, from school work, news that spread worldwide to even facts about things you are curious about. It might be hard to think of something that is not on the internet, but actually there is a lot of information that the internet doesn’t provide. Does Google know your birthday? Does Google know your friends? Does google know your thoughts and future plans? Well no, unless you are a famous person who shares their life with the whole world.

In addition, finding a reliable source can be very hard nowadays. I mean you can find it everywhere really but since more and more “not trustable” sources are growing, you really don’t know if what you are reading is true. At this point it depends on your knowledge and actual information that is on the government website. So having your own knowledge and also remembering facts it’s really important nowadays.

Last but not least, based on my own experience, just by looking up for something then that information will just stay in your brain for a few minutes then it will go. For example you are studying for the test but you just look up on google and write down in your study guides then you will not understand anything unless you read and analyze that thing that you are reading.

Therefore, having the internet is important and helpful but it is better to remember information yourself.

In my point of view, self-serving skills are some of the most important life skills for a person to be able to live healthily and joyfully. Self-serving skills include: ironing clothes, cooking some dishes, and washing clothes,…

No one is a robot. Our parents will eventually one day turn old, they won’t always be there to do the chores for you, to clean the dishes for you, to cook dinner for you,… Thus, even though nowadays, we have services that would have cooked your meal for you, made your bed for you,… However, if your life depended on those services, it would have been really expensive when you would have been able to do it yourself. In addition, what if you are in a rush for work and those services are all booked? What would you do? Wear dirty clothes from the days before that, which are crumpled, unwashed and stinky. Skipping breakfast, and working ineffectively due to the fact that you’re too hungry? On the other hand, if those skills were taught to you, you would have been wearing nice, clean clothes that were ironed and also not worrying about an empty stomach.

Some would have argued that parents should have been the ones who are teaching it, however, some parents are always busy, and in this current society where making money is really competitive. Not everyone has the time to teach their kids this essential skill of self-serving! Therefore, teaching this skill at school is needed.

Many schools are not aware of them, but there are essential life skills that people should know during life. There are various types of skills that students should know, but the most important skill, in my opinion, is time management.

Time management is the ability to use and organize your time productively, efficiently, and intelligently. Time is limited and time lost cannot be recovered. There are only 24 hours a day for everyone, and it is important that we plan our time wisely and make the best use of the limited time. Good time management enables people to perform smartly, so even though the time is tight and pressures are high, you get more work done in less time. Through time management, students can perform better, focus and concentrate, finish work on time, reduce stress and anxiety, and also get high-quality work. Time management skill is not something that everyone is good at, so I think it is essential for schools to teach the skill to organize times.

Therefore, time management must become a priority for every student, so that it helps them live an effective life.

Nowadays, when people are having more trouble with psychology, then it is necessary to learn about the science of mind.
Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind and its functions. This means that students can explore and understand themselves better, and help them find ways to relieve stress and reduce the risk of depression. According to statistic, about 11% of children from age 11 to 17 have attempted suicide. This is an alarming number and a shame since the orientation of education is to help children develop and have a happy life, a peaceful childhood. And because of this, learning about their own emotions is extremely important and necessary so that they can know how to relax and stay away from negative thoughts.
Moreover, psychology can help students better understand the emotions of people around them, so that they can come up with a good solution to help people who are in trouble and need to be heard. In life there will be many difficult things, those challenges can weigh heavily on people, make them overloaded and feel tired, so everyone deserves to be heard and understood.
In conclusion, the importance of studying psychology is undeniable.

When you have good communication skills, you will need people with different traits to talk to.

I think the main life skills that should be taught at school are the ones that are applicable in real life. FIrstly, it is self-control for sure, self control is the most important life skill. It’s the ability to control yourself and do things lots of times you don’t want to do (i.e. do homework, exercise, etc.) and to be able to restrain yourself from doing things which are usually bad habits. Being able to take risks is an important life skill too, if you can’t take risks, you might not be able to be as successful as you could be. If you don’t go out and explore, you will never learn, if you never try you won’t know. Lots of people are afraid to take risks like making startups, their own companies, restaurants and you should just do it. Lots of people have become successful from taking massive risks, even if you fail it is a good learning experience, in hopes that you had a plan B. Of course there are plenty more life skills to be taught but I think this is a good example of a few skills to possibly teach.

There are subjects that are taught in schools, and other subjects that are not. Most of the subjects that are taught in schools are academic subjects, such as math, English, science, and more. On the other hand, life skills are often ignored by many schools. And I think this action isn’t wise. As far as I am concerned, life skills like decision-making skills, resilience, and communication skills should be educated to students.

Decision-making skills are essential for students nowadays. As a large number of parents make decisions for their children (parents think that their child is still young), students might lack decision-making skills. This means that when it comes to making decisions, students might struggle and eventually, make unacceptable choices later on. Hence, because most parents don’t let their children make decisions, schools should train those students to do this. This life skill might affect children as they become adults and need to make decisions for themselves on their own.

Resilience is when people can stand up mentally again and again even after the hardest times. This life skill became more valuable after the COVID-19 pandemic. It is because most people were getting exhausted from lockdowns and online learnings. Like this, there are times when resilience becomes an important trait. This means that schools should teach resilience to students and support them to be tough.

Lastly, communication skills are important for the 21st century. As many jobs and projects now require teamwork, being emotionally intelligent became one of the most important characteristics that people should have. Communication skills allow students to talk to their classmates respectfully, but also allows them to speak up their opinions. Schools should make students confident, which means they need to teach communication skills.

These three life skills are crucial for students when they go to school, and students can use it even when they grow up to be an adult. Schools that educate students about these life skills will not only satisfy every student and parents, they might see their proud students adjusting to their new job with what they learned at school.

School exists to prepare you for your future, and while it succeeds in some aspects, it falls behind in others. I’m going to specifically focus on two major life skills that should be taught in school: money management and handling mental health.

Some of the most important skills in adult life are budgeting, doing taxes, and understanding money. This is essential to surviving in the modern world, ensuring that you’re able to live a comfortable life and support yourself. Yet we are left to figure it out ourselves through many, many mistakes. Learning it in school and receiving proper guidance from experienced adults can greatly reduce the amount of potential stress and anxiety that comes with being in the dark about crucial matters.

In such a success-oriented world, where high exam scores and good student profiles are valued and sought after, someone’s mental well-being can easily be pushed to the side. With the pressures of puberty and future adulthood weighing on our shoulders, it’s imperative to learn how to deal with stress and negative emotions. It can change the course of your entire life and allow you to become the best version of yourself.

There are many more important skills out there that aren’t even mentioned in the current school curriculum. While implementing them into the system will take a lot of time, effort and money, I hope we will always try to provide guidance and prepare young people for their future.

Confidence is a life skill I'd like to see taught in schools since it makes us feel better equipped for the challenges of life. People with confidence are more likely to take opportunities and connect with others than to avoid them. Confidence also motivates us to try something again if it eventually doesn't work out.

Our ability to identify and develop our potential is aided by our confidence. Our confidence grows even more when we realize our capabilities and are proud of our accomplishments.

On the other hand, this occurs when confidence is low. People who lack self-confidence may be less willing to try new things or make new friends. If they fail at anything right away, they could be less likely to attempt again. Lack of confidence might keep people from reaching their goals. For instance, I usually struggle to meet new people and form friendships. It's lot simpler and our confidence grows now that I know how to be confident.

I woke up to the blinding brightness from the candle above my head; this filled my dreary head with complete confusion, and the excruciating pain that rushed to my head as I tried to sit up, nearly shoved me back down again. The room smells of gold, the hard odour plating my tongue. The light from the teardrop-shaped windows reflects off the treasure at all angles, filling the room with darkness, loneliness and impregnability. There is a single-leg chair surrounded by the banquette; this room is never lit up anymore, preserved as it was years ago and the mirror stands empty, like mourners burying a loved one at a graveyard. Depredations of mildew and fungus everywhere. The extravagant carpet is so heavy with dust and rots and no longer shows any shapes; the patterns in the roof are trying to escape from this ornate place but it was trapped by the invisible, menacing eye. I was in the middle of nowhere surrounded by the darkness enclosing me causing me to feel claustrophobic. I looked up at an overcast sky, the moon was illuminated through the silent swamp near this vast-ruined fortress. The bitter cold blew frighteningly, it howled and whistled as if they were possessed, sending me warning messages.

The carpet is threadbare, worn away by decades of trampling steps, yet now the hall feels more isolating than the vast distance of endless space between stars. The wallpaper is peeling, mold embedding itself into cracks in the plaster. Moonlight struggles through the grimy windows, delicate, and hollow. One of the windows had shattered, bits of its glass corpse scattered across the floor. The place smells of musty old papers, rusted machinery, and rotten dreams. The cold is frightening and brutal. More than that, there’s the overwhelming feeling of something far more ancient, an existential dread that infests every corner of the decaying building. A faint humming reverberates from the abyssal end of the hallway, and for a moment the entire building feels alive. It’s breathing, almost.

The weather in Singapore and Hanoi greatly contrasts with each other. Firstly, the pollution in Hanoi is definitely much greater than in Singapore and that affects the weather a lot. The weather in Hanoi is a lot of times gray and sad on rainy days and sunny days it is very horribly hot. Singapore on the other hand, even on sunny days, does not reach up o 35-40 degrees most days, and from what I've seen they only have 2 seasons, wet and dry. Compared to Hanoi with all 4 seasons, summer, autumn, winter, and spring. Although they are somewhat similar in the sense that for Hanoi, it’s always a few weeks of rain and a few weeks of sun, never something in between that. In general, the difference between these climates is pretty large, as the pollution, area, and seasons are quite different. Overall, Singapore has a bit better weather than Hanoi.

Every single person is different and the way they make friends differs from one person to another. Making a new friend is exciting but also very tricky for some people. In my opinion, the best way to make new friends is to try a new activity. Aside from getting you out and doing something new, taking up a new hobby, or enrolling in a course on something you've always wanted to try also presents opportunities to meet new people. Classes, workshops, and activities are excellent ways to make new friends rapidly. Since the activity or course requires interaction and conversations with the other participants, everyone will quickly become fast friends. People who participate in such clubs and activities will have the same hobbies and interests as you, so it will be easier to talk to them. A built-in icebreaker is also provided by the activity itself, which makes it easier to make and meet new friends. In conclusion, I believe that joining clubs and trying new activities are the best ways to meet new people.

Minh Van - What is the greatest compliment you could give someone else? Do many people in your life deserve this type of compliment?

“Be confident”, is going to be the best compliment that I could have given to someone else. Don’t be afraid that someone’s gonna judge you because if your mindset is always, “Oh my god, if I don’t land this trick or if I can’t kick the ball over the wall, someone’s going to laugh at me”, you’ll first and foremost never succeed and secondly nobody cares! And even if they judge you, too bad for them right? There is this quote that I always value “If you try, you risk failure. If you don’t try, you guarantee it.” We can understand from this quote that although if you try and fail, at least you’ve tried, at least you’ve broken out of your comfort zone. However, if you are always afraid of failing, afraid of losing your “face”, you won’t go anywhere, because you haven’t even tried! For instance, I’m an ice skater and for an ice skater, falling is mandatory in order to succeed. At first, I was worried about the fact that if I did fall, everyone would laugh at me. However, seeing all of those more experienced skaters - who have skated for 7-8 years, falling 5,10 or even 20 times in order to beautifully land a jump, I realize that I was wrong! For these reasons, just be you and you’ll find your place!

When you are really comfortable and have experienced joining different communities, then you will be able to make friends easily.

According to the classic old ways, you come up to them and start talking but as a person who gets anxious and stutters when she is nervous, I would not recommend that way. Just simply go do something you like then people will eventually come and talk to you. Okay, I know it sounds very boring and it gives autism vibe, but it's totally normal. Before joining a certain environment, you will not know anyone and it’s fine to be alone for a few days. Many people say it does more harm than good but it is very useful to have with you wherever you go. Phones help me with my studies at school. For example, whenever I am struggling, a phone could help to search for the information I need. Secondly, entertainment is something you also must have. When we are bored, we have our phones with us which gives us access to a lot of things such as movies, games, or reading. This can all be done on a phone. For example, after a test, sometimes it could be stressful, but the phone helps us to forget those things and provides entertainment. Finally, the phone helps us to communicate or to reach people from far away. There are a lot of apps that help with reaching out to relatives like iMessage, Messenger, or Instagram. Without a phone, it is really hard to communicate during emergencies or any serious problems that you need from your parents while they are abroad. For me, I feel inadequate around a lot of people. Not intelligent enough, not confident enough, not funny enough. I mold myself to feel like I fit in, adjusting my actions and withholding from saying things I would’ve said in someone else’s presence. While this establishes common ground with people and allows me to be comfortable discussing certain topics with them, I struggle to find a person I could talk freely to without feeling like what I say was too crude, too sophisticated, or too difficult to understand. I’m dutiful in front of my parents, sarcastic and funny at every opportunity around friends, understanding whenever someone comes to me with problems, that leaves me barely anyone to be awkward with, to be vocal about not knowing what to do and to rant about all my negative emotions.

In my life, the only person that deserves this compliment is my first friend from middle school. If humans stop eating animal meat, a dangerous situation might happen in nature, called overpopulation.

I understand that because of humans, animals are getting endangered. Yet, these endangered animals are mostly put to death because of over-hunting and habitat-loss, not because of over-consuming. Not only that, this is an effective way to kill time, and also helps us absorb new knowledge, immerse in fantasy and thrilling stories. On the other hand, if I want to go out to breathe fresh air, I will choose to go to places where there are many bookstores nearby. That way, I can enjoy my time thoroughly while also being able to easily choose new and interesting books.

Spending time with family is also very meaningful. We can play games like wooden tower games or play cards, or simply watch a movie together and chat. On the other hand, I also really enjoy going out with my friends. Because friends at the same ages will have a lot to say and easily empathize with, the games will be fun and engaging.

I generally like to relax, sleep or do nothing. Since I mostly don’t have time to stay calm and lie down on my normal days. If I have finished all my homework and have a lot of time left, I watch dramas or movies that I want to watch depending on my mood. If my younger sister is with me, I play board games with her. These days, I like to play online escape room games with my sister. It is interesting to solve problems, and I also feel good when I solve them and escape. This is my typical vacation day. :)

I think that going on vacation is not about going to popular tourist destinations, that’s not where you’ll enjoy the trip. The real journey is about exploring your local area, its culture, and the locals selling traditional food and souvenirs.

My 2 week trip to Australia last summer holiday was fun because my step-family was living there. Hence, we got to experience it as residents, not as tourists just going to the Sydney opera house or something. We got to do a bunch of hiking, see the snow, enjoy the nice home-cooked warm food after a long day outside in the cold temperatures, dogs, etc. That’s what it’s about, although going to the popular tourist destinations might be nice, it won’t be anything like if you go somewhere where one of your friends is one of the “locals” of the area to show you around. They know spots to go, to enjoy the scenery, they’re the best tour guides you’ll ever have.

I think that’s what travel is about, it’s about enjoying yourself in many ways, relaxing, and forgetting about absolutely everything else other than your trip. Walking around town is much better than going to the Eiffel tower or something and I think you will find that out too if you travel a lot.

So during vacation, I would like to do things that make me truly comfortable and good.

Hanging out with my friends sounds like a very fun and interesting thing to do during a vacation. Going to each other's house, baking something with each other and just simply spending time with my friends. Since I am busy most of the time because of school and student council, having the time to actually hang out is really hard. So during my vacation, I’d try to spare time for my friends and even my family.

Vacation is also the time where we can reset our mental health or emotion if we are drained during the past period of time. For me, staying at home and having alone time is the most classic way to rest. As mentioned above, having time to myself is really hard so this is like a golden time where I could rest and also catch up on my school work if I feel like it.

If I could do one thing during a vacation, I would go to the cafe with my parents’ friends and meet up with each other. Unfortunately, her broomstick stopped working and she fell into an ominous forest. When she landed, she herself didn't get injured but her crappy broomstick snapped in half. She was now stuck in the middle of nowhere, with no idea where to go. She was walking North. After around 400 meters, she dropped to the ground because her osteoporosis kicked in, and her knees started swelling and becoming painful. Fortunately, her horrible broomstick started working. Unfortunately, it was still broken in half so there was no way it would work properly. As a result of this, the broomstick halves started flying uncontrollably. Her sentient broomstick halves have gone on a rampage while luckily someone has found her and taken her back to the village. In the end, she died of old age...

There are many ways to help reduce stress, but I’ll be focusing on one specifically: exercise. Whether it be running, swimming, lifting weights, etc., all forms of exercise are good for you. Not only will you get physically stronger, but it’ll also greatly reduce your stress. The first reason is that working out releases our natural happy and painkiller chemicals, which will, of course, improve your mood afterward, and you’ll feel great even if you didn’t want to train originally. Another reason is that you are channeling your stress, anxiety, and anger into working out; you work harder, release your stress, and get stronger as a result. For example, I like to do boxing to stay in shape and release my stress. I do a few rounds all out on the heavy bag to just let out my anger, and I always feel a bit better afterward, even when I'm having the worst day ever. You don’t think, and most of the time, you forget about your problems when you hit the gym too. Overall, everyone should exercise, as it not only helps your physical health but also your mental health.

There are many ways to get rid of stress, and one way is by exercising regularly. Physical activities can help lower people's overall stress levels and improve their quality of life, both mentally and physically. Also, exercising pumps up people’s endorphins, which makes them feel better. It is helpful to make a weekly plan for exercising. Swimming, biking, jogging, playing tennis, walking, and even dancing can be options for workouts. Physical activities and regular exercise reduce stress effectively.

These days, some people still live by different gender stereotypes. The most common stereotypes about gender are: “Girls should be well-behaved; boys are expected to act out”, “Same-gender couples cannot make good parents”, and “Girls are not as interested as boys in STEM subjects”.

“Same-gender couples cannot make good parents” is controversial in different countries. Despite the fact that a few countries still disapprove of same-gender marriage, it is still hard for some people to trust having 2 moms or 2 dads. They believe that a kid deserves to have one mom and one dad is the best and only thing that helps them develop themself. If we students open up about the same-gender topic, some parents might not approve.

In this Gen Z world, more and more people have become a part of the LGBTQ+ community. If we break things down into smaller pieces, it’s just 2 same-gender people falling in love with each other. This even gives the kid more opportunity if both of the parents agree on having kids. Also, there are not many reasons why having same-sex parents is a bad idea cause they are still the child’s guardian after all.

Overall, gender stereotypes are mostly what people believe because of rituals and in the past.

Love is often portrayed in media as the greatest, most noble thing in the world, but reality is far from that, and many people can find themselves trapped in toxic relationships that affect them for the rest of their life. It's good to be aware of the signs so that you can recognize the red flags and prevent things from escalating.

Controlling behavior is one of the most recognizable signs of relationship toxicity. Your partner makes all the decisions, tells you what to do, and monitors all your activities. This can stem from jealousy, lack of trust, or a desire for control. They can even isolate you from friends and family and the other supportive people in your life.

Healthy relationships are based on a mutual desire to see the other succeed. On the other hand, toxic relationships make you feel as though your interests and needs don't matter. There's no longer a sense of positivity when you are together, and you can't trust them to support you.

Bad relationships can be fixed through the work of both parties, but sometimes it's okay to reach out and ask for help. If the willingness to change and improve is one-sided, there's little chance of success.

People choose to classify themselves in lots of different ways. For example, there is different terminology for people of different ages, I.e. Millennial, gen z, Etc. There can be lots of different people because of how many different ways there are to classify a person.

The first main classification for people is race, Asian, Hispanic, Black, and White are the common terms used to describe races. It is based on what continent and genetics you and your parents have. For example, if your parents were say, Italian and Spanish, that would most likely make you “White”, with low melanin, and light skin tone. Because generally most people from Europe don't have as much melanin at birth.

One of the other common ones is your status, more specifically, your influence, power, and wealth. There are less specific terms to describe this category, rich, poor and middle-class are some used to describe wealth. This is based on how rich you are and how much influence you have on people, per se, The president of the US will have more influence and wealth than your average middle-class citizen.

Thirdly, it seems that a lot of people classify each other by how genetically attractive each other are. There is terminology such as ugly, pretty, handsome, beautiful, and so on. This is usually describing how “beautiful” someone is, as in a generically or generally accepted way of being physically attractive. It can also be from an individual’s perspective where one might not find someone attractive but that individual might.

In this essay, I've listed 3 of the ways I see most people classifying each other. Although there are plenty more ways, these are the ones that I think are the most relevant.

Humans love to establish a sense or order by neatly categorizing everything into boxes, and there are a few ways we classify ourselves. Most commonly are by gender, age, race, occupation, nationality, place of residence, etc. But there are a few more ambiguous and casual ways we use to differentiate ourselves.

Personality type, for example, is common among younger people. Whether it be through personality tests like MBTI and Enneagram or through star signs and astrology, identifying by your personality type can help people gain a general understanding of your character. It helps you know yourself better by putting your specific traits into words and gives you a sense of belonging, knowing that there are others like you out there.

Another vague way people identify themselves is through sexual orientation. Expressing this part of your identity can be comforting for many, especially when you know someone who is going through the same things as you.

No matter how we categorize things, the desire for understanding remains the same. Sorting everything makes it easier to grasp the complexity of the world and to adapt to new concepts.

For example, a person who enjoys playing and/or watching sports would have categorized themself as a sport-lover and their 'going to' series this next few weeks will potentially be the World Cup.
Moreover, some people would classify themself (and sometimes others too) based on their background. Such as in South Korea (and almost everywhere in the world), people can classify themself based on the wealth and power that they hold. Chaebols are the ones with the most power and wealth. They are any of the more than two dozen family-controlled conglomerates that dominate South Korea's economy. Samsung, Hyundai, SK Group, and LG Group are among the biggest and most prominent chaebols.
In the end, people can classify themself in a lot of ways as mentioned above, but the number one criterion when categorizing is to understand who you are.

There are different ways people classify or identify themselves based on a variety of ways, such as nationality, extrovert or introvert, age group, and even skin color! Each of us individually has different unique characteristics that we can’t count. Your nationality is definitely one of the easiest ways to classify yourself, where do you come from, what language you speak, and what skin color you have, it mostly comes from your nationality. Age group is something that we often ask when we meet new people. In terms of either calling them “anh” or “chị”, we will also know or classify others that are the same age as us too. Skin color is probably the most popular way of identifying someone. It’s also easy to identify what world you come from, and also the accent. There are a lot of ways to identify or classify ourselves and others.

Usually I like boxing immediately after school. I think it’s a great sport and everyone should try it, you don’t have to do boxing competitively. There are also many benefits, which I will state.

Firstly, it’s a great form of exercise. It is intense cardio which requires you to have a lot of endurance. Boxing will also make you light on your feet, punching is not all arms, most of it comes from your legs. You have to find ways to bounce and move around your opponent and that’s really hard work. A lot of it is being intelligent as well and knowing how to switch angles, reacting correctly, it’s not as mindless as people may think. Most average people wouldn’t even last a round of sparring.

Second, it’s also a great sport to reduce stress. Hitting the pads and the heavy bag are great ways to get your anger and stress out, and to channel it to do something productive. When you’re stressed, a lot of the times, you might want to hit or beat something up. How about beating up a punching bag instead of a human? It’s good for your health.

Thirdly, it’s tremendously fun once you get the hang of it. Sparring can be really fun if you and your sparring partner punch light, learn from it, and don’t try to knock each other out. It’s also really satisfying to see your partner try to do something new that’s effective, or for you to try some new combos, footwork, etc.

Overall, boxing, and all combat sports are fun with the right people and right coaching. They’re great ways to reduce stress, improve your health, and to have fun while being productive.

After a long day of studying and working, it is very important to take time to rest for yourself. That's why at times like these, I'll often spend time with family and friends, or just for myself, so that my brain can take a rest.

Sometimes after coming home from school, I usually take time to chat with people. I will call my friends or text them. After that, we will play online games together, or simply do our own thing and enjoy the atmosphere of having someone by our side.

After school, when I get home, I need alone-time to relax after a tiring day. There is a variety of activities I do everyday to calm down. For instance, I go swimming or go outside for a walk. However, the activities I recommend the most are chess, reading, and playing instruments, as they all make my brain clear and focused.

First of all, when I get home, I contact my friends and convince them to play chess with me. Chess is a board game which requires you to use your critical thinking abilities to win the game. When I play chess, not only can I improve my critical thinking skills, I can also interact with my classmates as chess needs two people to compete with. I like it when I can talk with my friends about my day while also feeling my brain working throughout the game. When I win the game, I feel achievement and success, which helps me later when I do my homework. Overall, chess is a wonderful game to play after school to relax and have fun with your friends and support you in doing homework by improving your critical thinking skills and remembering the feeling of achievement.

Second, most of the people around me get annoyed when they read, but I actually find reading one of the best ways to loosen up after school. When I read, I can fall into my imaginary world and pretend I am a witch having a mysterious adventure with Harry Potter or any other thing that cannot be possible in our present situation. Additionally, books are the best teachers when it comes to vocabulary and analyzing the text. Therefore, reading boosts up my imagination while also teaching me great lessons. This is why I like to lie down on my bean bag and pull out a book after school.

Last but certainly not least, I recommend you play an instrument. Playing an instrument can make you feel focused and clear your brain from terrible memories as you need to concentrate on making sounds on your instruments. When I get home, I play flute and violin. They are wondrous instruments with pleasant sounds. Listening to me playing classical music is enjoyable to me as I feel achievement when I complete the music perfectly, just like when I play chess.

To wrap up, three activities-chess, reading, and playing instruments help me unwind after school when I am exhausted. To add more, they all support me in connecting the concentration and relaxation I got from the activities to doing homework, which is sometimes frustrating. So, when you get home from your school, I recommend you do these three activities to calm your mind!

After a long day at school, you’ve been mentally stressed out due to all of those assignments and assessments; getting rebukes by teachers for not completing your work on the required standard or sometimes due to the pressure from parents for good grades. You want to unwind, to ‘slow down and take a break from that mental stress and personally, it’s the same for me too. I do agree that there are numerous after-school activities out there, from extra classes (outside of school but school-related subjects) to learning new skills such as learning a new instrument; but some of the activities that I enjoy the most are physical activities namely swimming, playing basketball/football with friends, or figure skating.

Swimming for me, personally, it’s a sport that has always been there with me through ups and downs, injuries and mental hardships, exams and competitions. Swimming helps you not only to maintain a healthy weight, heart and lungs as well as to build muscles and strength. As a type of exercise, it provides an all-over body workout, as nearly all of your muscles are used during swimming.

Playing basketball/football with friends after school is just a different feeling, a feeling that you can never compare with any others. On the court/pitch, you can relieve all of those pressures and also at the same time, spend quality time with your friends; mutually learning from each other and honing your skills as well.

Figure skating, it’s a sport that combines the artistic skills and flexibility of a dancer with strengths. Skating works for nearly every muscle group in the body, and gliding requires synchronized movement of the legs, which is important for joint flexibility. Moreover, it builds up the leg and abdominal muscles. Furthermore, it teaches me the value of perseverance, not giving up through those injuries and falls, and keeping on trying.

Overall, there are multiple after-school activities that you can do but in my opinion, I recommend trying out physical activities when it helps you to relieve stress and also helps you to build your physical strength - maintaining a healthy body and lifestyle.

School is a very stressful ordeal, and many people have many different ways of unwinding after a rough day. For me, my activities can be simplified into three categories: creative media, entertainment, and introspective thinking.

My go-to when it comes to reducing stress is reading, drawing, and writing. They offer some level of comfort as I craft a story with my own hands or get lost in someone else's. These activities boost creativity and provide a method of escapism when the real world becomes too much to handle.

Entertainment is the easiest to come across. This often involves scrolling through social media, playing video games, listening to music, and talking with friends. I don't often get to do this during the day, so the particular period of time between getting home from school and attending extracurriculars is ideal for jamming in all forms of what most people would call 'guilty pleasures'. This lets me enjoy the things I like but would feel guilty doing at any other part of the day.

Thinking is surprisingly the easiest to come naturally and I'm usually not aware that it's happening. It often occurs during the silent stretch of time spent trying to get home, when my brain can't calm down for a second. I reflect on what has happened so far in my life, observe the changes in my surroundings, and think of new ideas for projects and stories. I enjoy this period of time immensely as it helps me understand myself better and gives me a rare moment of introspection that's both soothing and productive.

These activities are reliable ways that I can depend on to loosen up after a rough day of performing mental gymnastics.

After school is when everyone wants to pass out but sometimes doing things we like grabs us up from that drain. Amongst all of the activities, I find most helpful are: doing sports, staying at school for event preparation, and scrolling through my phone or spending time by myself.

The first one is staying back at school for after-school practice. Or just going to the gym helps me to stay away from schoolwork and work on myself physically. At school, we barely have the time to go outside and play sports because of the short breaks and how we barely have time during lunch break to play. So staying back at school to practice is both fun, and stressful in a good way.

The second one is to stay back at school for event preparation. Being on the student council is really exhausting but that’s what I enjoy most of the time. As an operation team member, I find myself staring back at school much more often. Sometimes running around school and sticking posters on the wall or preparing for certain events is very fun because I get to work with people, especially when my classmates are there.

Last but not least, scrolling through my phone. I guess this is what most people do too. After the social life at school, having some alone time is excellent. Because it’s something I barely get to do at school, especially in classes where the teachers don’t allow us to use our phones. Scrolling through my phone chatting is a way of interacting too but we can have the choice to either ignore it or a respond to that.

Therefore, doing physical activity, social activity, or just spending time by myself are different ways I can stay away from my school life and focus on myself.

After school, some students participate in various activities that aid in their relaxation. In this essay, I'll discuss some after-school activities and their advantages.

First, if there is a mall close to your school, ask some of your friends to go out and hang out with you. The mall offers a variety of activities, like purchasing ice cream, bubble tea, and books. You can forget about school, unwind, and even find more time to play with your friends by participating in these activities.

Second, if you haven't finished any assignments yet, you can go home and finish them. You can stop worrying about your schoolwork thanks to it. You'll then have more free time. You are free to do anything you like during that time, including playing games, working out at home, listening to music, and reading a book. To calm and settle in, I suggest taking a shower.

In conclusion, these activities can help you reduce your level of school-related stress and give your mind a break.

After a whole day at school learning, sometimes it can be stressful. But with after-school activities, it could help us release stress by doing what we like. My favorite after-school activity that I usually attend is football. Playing football with my friends after school is really fun, and it also helps me in many ways.

First of all, playing football improves my stamina. Playing football requires the player to run around the field and kick the ball. It strengthens our heart and lungs when we are running and kicking. It will help us adapt to running at a fast pace and not get tired. People running a marathon, for example, need a lot of stamina to finish the entire track. They have to go through excessive training to be able to do that. While football improves our endurance, I also have fun playing it. This makes football a good choice for me and my friends to practice and play.

Secondly, football helps with our teamwork. Football is a team sport, so teamwork is extremely important in football. With good teamwork and communication, players could understand each other's weaknesses and strengths and use them to maximize the performance of each player on their team. In conclusion, my favorite after-school activity is football. Football brings me a lot of fun, and it also brings me a lot of knowledge and experience.

One of the most important things about this season is spending time with your family and friends. Some people don’t have the time during the year to meet their family.

Prompt: Imagine a snowman has come to life and wants to be your friend! write about your day together.

Yesterday was Christmas, and I believe that no one had any experience that I had, fortunately.

When I woke up, the first thing I saw was a snowman which I had made on Christmas Eve. I named it Julia, and decided that she was my imaginary best friend. After I ate breakfast, I went outside to my backyard to play with Julia. At that time, of course I didn’t know that Julia was alive. Thus, I talked all about my life to Julia. Suddenly, Julia started to move. I didn’t know what to do! I froze like ice and stared at the moving snowman. Slowly, Julia opened her mouth and started speaking. “Hi, Michael. You made me, right?” Shocked, I nodded my head. “Do you wanna go to a snowman world with me?” I wondered what that world was. But because of my curiosity, I agreed and followed Julia into the world, without hearing the word “forever” in the sentence.

When I arrived, I realized that I was sleeping during the journey. I opened my eyes and saw the bright, white world full of snow. Around me, there were thousands of snowmen. Big, small, thin, chubby, all the snowmen were playing together. As a person who loves snowmen because they are adorable, I was delighted with joy. “What can I do here?” I questioned Julia. Julia replied, “You can make snowmen, and they will run with joy!” Wondering what running meant for the snowmen, I made a tall snowman with black hat, red scarves, and green buttons. After I finished, the snowman jumped up and down and went to his snowman friends. I thought that the experience I was having now will never happen again, so I made ten more snowmen.

After hours of playing and interacting with these magical creatures, I noticed that some of the snowmen were melting. I looked over at Julia. Half of Julia's body already melted. I sprinted over to her and asked, “Why is everyone melting?” Grinning, Julia replied, “It is because Christmas is ending. We will all come back next Christmas.” With tears rolling down my cheeks, I whispered, “How am I going to get home?” Then, an unexpected answer struck my ears. Laughing like a witch, Julia said, “You said you will come with me. You can never go back to your home. Stay here until next Christmas, then the next Christmas, then the next ....”

So, now I am stuck in this snowy land, alone and scared. I am not sure what I should do. Should I really stay here during my entire life? Or should I find a way to escape?

As what often happens when you put multiple generations that grew up in drastically different times in the same room, the differences stand out glaringly and different perspectives start to emerge. Would experiencing Christmas as an adult bring about more festive joy? Or would being a child give the holiday season a certain feeling that can't be found anywhere else in the monotonous grown-up world?

Let's say we're an adult for a moment, with money, a job, a house, and a car. When Christmas looms over the horizon like an ominous beast, we usually get a break from work and time to ourselves. The holiday season is more flexible than when we were younger and strung along to tedious family gatherings with the promises of good food and presents. We can choose to spend time with ourselves and those we really love and care about, like close family members and friends. There's also more freedom in buying gifts, as we're now an adult with legal adult money and adult tastes. We can have an easier time picking presents without worrying about money constraints, or age constraints for that matter. Sometimes a good old bottle of liquor will do the job just fine.

As much freedom as being an adult offers, there's a certain charm to Christmas that you can only find through the eyes of a child. It's that warmth when you snuggle up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate as your parents turn on some Christmas specials, or it's that sentimental feeling in your gut when you wake up early on Christmas Day and rush down the house to find your presents. We don't have the luxury of buy everything we want, and the holiday season is unique for its excitement and anticipation when we finally discover what lays under the wrapping and ribbons.

We were working all day, and all night on the days before Christmas, and especially on Christmas, we were working so damn hard to keep the gifts feeding through to those children. We all only got around 15 minutes of break in total in all those days of working maybe? Why is it so important that we have to pack this many toys to send to children when they can just get their parents to buy them? I don’t even feel particularly good sending these presents to children, In fact, I am a child and this is basically child labour, we’re 20-2000 years old but still, we’re small fragile creatures. He makes us work like absolute machines, when we are just like human beings, the humans think of us as small santa’s helpers but we are unpaid Santa’s child labour workers. Good thing he allowed us to have until the month before Christmas to rest, so we always have some amount of time to be able to enjoy our lives for a bit. Why does he have to do this to us, why can’t we catch a break when time comes, the day after christmas is a rest day but we still have to go fix up his sled or something, because he;s clumsy and fell so his sled broke. His sled has broken so many times now that it seems like it’s intentional and he just wants to make us work. This dictatorship cannot be stood for anymore but it just seems like we can’t do anything about it because we can’t. He literally controls us because we are his “little helpers” and we are his creations. No one has any amount of sympathy for us.

We decorate our houses throughout the Christmas season to spread happiness to our friends and family. To lift the mood of our friends, neighbors, and total strangers who pass by and see the colorful lights, we hang our lights on the exterior of our homes. There are so many customs associated with Christmas, and my favorite tradition is exchanging gifts and presents.

Gift giving or gift exchanging is one of the most beloved traditions of Christmas, especially for children. This tradition is my favorite since I have a lot of childhood memories of getting presents. When I was young I believed that Santa was giving me presents. I always felt happy when I got those gifts since it was proving that I had been a good kid. Even though now I know that the gifts are not from Santa, I like this tradition. When exchanging gifts, I can feel the warm heart, such as the thoughts, consideration when choosing, and excitement when opening a gift.

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS FROM ANDREW TATE’S POINT OF VIEW, NOT MINE.
24/12/2022
Dear Diary,
Today was a pretty special day, after filming some podcasts, and going onto some random Twitch streamer’s Livestream (I assume his name is Adin Ross, but I’m not so sure, but never mind, who cares because the Top G never needs to find out about some random guy’s name), training for some hours at the gym and (not to forget) always wearing my sunglasses, I jumped onto my $4 million Bugatti Chiron Super Sport to drive home. To my surprise, I got an email from Santa saying that his rusty, broken down and ancient sleigh had broken. I’ve converted to Islam but you know, sometimes doing something like this is good right? Helping Santa out to deliver gifts to kids, surely Allah will reward me a lot after seeing me helping out others. My first impression of Santa was the fact that he was too obese, the man had obviously never worked out, so I asked him to do 50 pushups before anything. To my surprise, he did the “50 pushups” and even with only one hand, finally someone got me interested. Now I finally have some respect for him. With some hesitation, I asked him to sit down on my $4 million Bugatti and thank god he did not break the car. Then he handed me all of the home addresses of the kids and here we go. The gentle breeze trickled through my hair as we drove through the streets, wait… I’ve got no hair. As the Top G, who cares about getting parking tickets, money means nothing to me, so I just parked my SUPERCAR on the side of the road and opened the door for Santa to exit and do the rest of his work.

In recent years, you'll find that parents are signing their children up to an increasing number of extracurriculars. Almost every student you ask will be taking some form of extra class or other. While there are many downsides to handling an after school club, for example, on top of an already packed school schedule, extracurriculars can affect students in many positive ways.

First of all, they supply a wealth of knowledge on a wide variety of subjects that students never would've learnt about otherwise in school. Alongside refinining your understanding of existing matters, extra classes can also introduce you to new topics, allow the exploration of different interests, and broaden you worldview. This leads to a better academic performance, as many of the things you learn in extracuriccular activities, like critical thinking and creativity, can directly impact core academic subjects.

Secondly, extra classes can give you new skills or hone already existing ones. These skills can become a source of enjoyment and comfort, allowing you to spend time more productively. Beyond that, they instill essential life skills such as teamwork, problem solving, analytical thinking, leadership, preserverance, communication, etc, that aid you tremendously in everything you do. Having to balance extra course work with grades and assignments is difficult, and learning to navigate around this issue will help you manage time more efficiently, prioritize certain tasks over others, and enrich more of these real world skills.

Engaging in extracurricular acitvities can also better your health. Having time to do what you enjoy reduces stress and provides you with a sense of fulfillment and belonging. Partaking in sports activities can release endorphins and does wonders for your physical as well as mental health. Socializing also plays an important part here, as extracurriculars expose you to more people and provides you with an opportunity to make long lasting connections.

Finally, they benefit students in the university or job application process. Extracurriculars are often a critical point in your university or college application. In the US, they account for about 30% of your application. They demonstrate your ability to go above and beyond what's required and work to excell in your field of study, as well as showcasing important practical and academic skills that you have developed during these activities. Admission officers can get a better understanding of your character through how much passion, creativity, and effort you put into your extracurriculars.

In conclusion, extracurricular activities are an extremely valuable component that can improve your life in more ways than one. Not only do they boost your academic performance in school, they also give you a chance to understand yourself better, lay the foundation for crucial life skills and are a great help to your resumes. But whatever you decide for your extracurriculars, make sure that you're able to balance them with your school life, as well as be able to stick to them for a long time and that you're doing so out of genuine care and passion.

EARTH. The planet that we - humans have lived on this planet for millions and millions of years, but how many years has it existed? 4.5 BILLION YEARS! What have we contributed to the earth? Massive buildings and facilities, innovations that have made our life much more convenient (such as cars, automobiles, aeroplanes,…), created weapons to protect us. However, looking at the ‘aftermath’ or side effects, we can infer the fact that we WERE unintentionally but now CONSCIOUSLY destroying the Earth. Creating weapons such as nuclear weapons that are capable to DESTROY and FLATTEN the Earth, which has been proved that can produce deadly radiations; building massive infrastructures that produced MASSIVE amounts of carbon dioxide; plastic disposable products that are convenient but will eventually take ten thousand years to decompose; cars that are run by petrol or diesel which pollute the air; cutting down rows and rows of ancient and massive trees. Why would we do that when we can foresee the impacts? BECAUSE IT IS DUE TO OUR BOTTOMLESS CUPIDITY. Still, it is not too late, it’s reversible; small actions such as turning off the tap, using less electricity would help. WE NEED TO PRESERVE THIS PLANET FOR THE FUTURE GENERATION!

Do you know how much wastes are thrown every day? About 4.4 pounds of trash per person everyday. That is a huge amount since one plastic bag weighs 6-8 grams. Not only that, there are more than 8 billion people on earth, if we multiply it by 4.4 then it will be about 35200000000 pounds of plastic that has been thrown away every day. From my point of view, we should live with this philosophy in our daily lives, so that our future generations will be living in a better environment. The root of these problems are from us human, we should be the one who change behaviours towards our mother nature. It is not that complicated to end what we had caused, we can start with reducing the use of plastics. Also, we can volounteer for cleanups in our community. In conclusion, the cause of these problems are us, so we should be the one who fixes it for our future generations.

Day by day, as society becomes more and more advanced, the influence of humans on the natural environment becomes greater. We are not only polluting the water, the air, we are also destroying the ecosystem, causing the extinction of many animal species. Humans release gasses and wastes into the environment, polluting the atmosphere, and releasing polluted water, causing the source of clean water to be gradually depleted. This not only makes farming difficult, it also makes people lack clean water to live and use, in addition, it also has a significant effect on wildlife, causing them to die due to poisoning. Not only that, people also hunt fish indiscriminately, dumping a lot of garbage into the sea, causing fish to die in mass because of eating plastic and plastic bags. Moreover, humans are one of the reasons why today's forest area is shrinking. We burn forests to serve the purpose of urbanization, and cut trees for wood. This not only contributes to the exacerbation of the greenhouse effect, but also causes ecological imbalance, causing thousands of animals to be injured and displaced. The environment is not only the home for the current generation of people, it is also the future of our children and grandchildren, the home of thousands of other plants and animals living on the earth. Therefore, the protection of the environment is the responsibility of each person, and by extension, the whole world. People should limit the use of plastic bags and plastic items, and replace them with environmentally friendly items. In addition, we can contribute to the work of afforestation, organize speeches calling for people to join hands to protect the environment. Not only that, we should switch to using public transport more often, instead of using private vehicles, to reduce climate pollution. The Earth is not only our home, it is also the future of future generations, so before it's too late, let's join hands to protect the environment.

It was just an normal weekday when I first saw Lily. I was just going back home afterschool, when I felt something following me. I thought it was a kidnapper. I was so scared, I even felt my legs shievering. As I slowly turned my back to the kidnapper, I heard a sound a small sound.
"Meow"
"Huh?"
It was a cute kitten sound. I was confused. When I looked down, I saw a small white kitten looking at me. I guess it wasn't a kidnapper. It was a small little kitten.
"Hi~"
I gently tapped the small kitten on the head. As time passed, it started to get dark, and cold. When the kitten stared at me with shimmering eyes, I couldn't resist to take that small cat with me. So, I said,
"Do you want to come with me to my home?"
"Meow~"
The cat just meowed. I will take that as a yes. I hopped happily to my home, with the small kitten in my arms.

When I arrived home, I was my mom. I quickly waved her and said,
"Mom, I am home."
"Okay! Just go to your room! I told you to study!"
I quickly went upstairs, and took the kitten a bath. I had to do this fast. Why? My mom don't let me have a pet. She said I had to study.
"Okay, ummm..."
Because, I have never had a before, I have never taken care of it. So, I didn't know what to do.
"Let's start with cleaning your body with this soap."
"Meowwwwww!!!"
I guess this cat hates bath. Well, this is going to take a long time. After, I got the kitten all cleaned, the cat went to sleep right away. As I tucked her to bed, I started to plan how to tell mom. I couldn't just tell her. I decided to convince her tommorow morning. I felt light on my face. It was so bright. I felt even more tired. And I heard...screaming..?
"Isabell! What is a cat doing in here???"
"Meowwwww!!!!!!!!"
Cat? What cat...Oh..no...
"Mom! I can explain this! I was planning to tell you today!"
Mom's face started to become angry.
"You get out! Out of my house! With your stupid cat!"

That is how I got kicked out of my house. At least I have my cat here.
"Meow~"
Now...where should I go....
Before I thought of where to go, the cat just started walking.
"Where are you going?"
She just kept on walking and walking. Until we arrived to a big house. It looked like a palace.
"Meow~Meow~"
What was she doing? Why would she lead me here? Do she think this door will just open?
"Oh, Lily, you are here"
Lily? Who is Lily?
"Hm? And you are..."
"Isabell..."
"...Isabell??"
Huh? Why did she looked so shocked?
"Yes..?"
"Isabell...Lily how did you find her?"
Why did she looked so happy, and why was she crying?
"Isabell! Can you remember me? I am your mom!"
Mom? I already had an mom. A mom who told me to study. And the one who I spent my childhood with..
"Are you sure..?"
"Yes!"
"Well, first, come in"
"Okay.."
Since I got kicked out of my house..I guess there is no reason to not.

When I came in the house, she started to tell me a lot of things. Like how I became missing, and how much they missed me, and about my passed. They told me that I was a daughter of a rich person. And the person who took me, have been asking them for money. I was shocked. But I started to understand all the things I couldn't understand about mom. Why she had never allowed pets, friends, and why she had no photoes of me.

Ever since that incident, I started living with my real parents with Lily. It turned out the little kitten was a cat from this house. I am living way happier tha before. Even though, I study, I have no one screaming at me everyday. And my fake mom, who turned out to be a kidanapper, got in jail. I am now having a good life with my family.

Evelynn is a 15-year-old girl who lives with her brother and grandmother. She was separated from her parents since childhood, only knowing them through the stories of her two older siblings and a family photo. Evelynn's life is like everyone else around, normal but warm, that is until she learns her identity.

It all started on a sunny day, when Evelynn continued her walk after school. While she was humming lyrics and immersed in her own imagination, she met a cat. That cat had pure white fur with clear eyes that were almost the same color as the sky, those eyes turned towards her with a mysterious mobility. As an animal lover, Evelynn habitually approached the cat, surprisingly, the cat seemed so familiar to her, it was comfortable for her to stroke, even letting out a few comforting purrs. She played with the cat for a few minutes until she realized it was time to go home, so Evelynn stood up, looked at the cat nostalgically, and said goodbye. The cat just kept watching her fading figure, then it jumped down from the fence, silently following her.

The same thing continued for a few more days, every time Evelynn came home from school, she would always find the white cat standing in the same place waiting for her. She has also discovered that the cat will follow her until she enters the house, even, once she even saw the cat in her bedroom in the middle of the night when she accidentally woke up. Same thing today, Evelynn once again folded the cat at the fence, but this time something very different. The cat stared at her, then purred a few times and walked away. While she was surprised, the white turned its head and then turned its head back, she realized it was telling her to follow. Evelynn was still very confused, it was time to go home, she should not stay here too long, but at the urging of the cat, she still continued on following.

They arrived at an old and dusty house that didn't look like anyone lived there. Evelynn followed the cat into a beautifully decorated bedroom, and the picture hanging on the wall almost startled her. It was a picture of her parents holding a baby in their arms - it must have been her. She also found a diary. As it turned out, Evelynn was a daughter of aristocrats, but because there were some incidents around the time she was born, her parents sent her to a relative's house. Her parents wanted to keep her safe, so they had to move far away, living separately from her. Indulging in a flurry of emotions, Evelynn heard footsteps. She was scared and hurriedly put down the diary. She wanted to find a place to hide but it seemed too late, the man had entered the room. Surprisingly, the person was identical to the man in the photo.

Her father hugged her in a burst of happiness and Evelynn couldn't help but sob. The woman behind also heard the noise and came over, it was her mother. After years of separation, their family is finally reunited, and together they return to their grandmother's house. That evening, her parents explained the current situation, saying that it was safe now and she could return, they asked if she wanted to come along. Although she misses her parents very much, Evelynn decided to live here, she feels this is where she belongs. She said she would visit her parents during her summer vacation and at Christmas.

At the end of the story, Evelynn has found herself a complete and warm family. Later when she grew up, she became a brilliant inventor who was admired by many. Despite this, she maintains a close relationship with her parents and cousins.

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Amanda, and both she and her mother lived on a farm distant from where most people live. She was told that her father died when she was still a baby, but no one told her why. While Amanda was walking home a cat with two gorgeous eyes, wonderfully little paws, sharp claws, with two perky ears that are incredibly sensitive to noises. It has a slender body coated in silky hair and a fuzzy tail following her every step. Amanda simply picked up the cat and carried it home. As she returned home, she immediately showed her mother the cat, but her mother became enraged and began to cry "WHY WOULD YOU BRING HOME A RANDOM STREET CAT? WHAT IF THAT HAS A DISEASE? YOU WANT ME TO GET SICK?" "I want this cat out of my house immediately!" she grumbled as she walked away. Amanda was forced to leave the cat outside. The same cat arrived the next day as Amanda was hanging out with her friend, Amanda instantly stated "Go somewhere! My mum does not want me anywhere near you! ". But, the cat would not leave her alone and pulled her towards an abandoned home. The home was dark and dirty with no light, and the gloom extended around it, making no one want to approach it. Stories circulated about this house, Amanda reasoned, and someone said that the house had been slain. Amanda hesitated at first, but since the cat had been luring her towards the home for quite some time, she reasoned, why not give it a shot? She then walked carefully towards the home, as she opened the door, the cracking sound reverberated around. She walked in and the first thing she noticed was a man, who was resting there wearing a white shirt and black jeans. "Your dad was confined inside this abandoned house for years without anything to eat, and he died of starvation," the cat says abruptly. Amanda was too surprised to say anything. Looking at the cat with a shocked face. "He used to be a king, but because of the hostility he received, they then confined him within this home," the cat said. Amanda eventually left the residence to return home.
She now knows that she knows that she is a princess and her dad's death.

Hi, I’m Lexi. I’m 15 years old. Wait, is this an acceptable way to start my diary? Perhaps not, but who cares, I have a pretty fascinating story to tell you anyways. It was 4.30 pm, and I’d just finished school. It was a pretty bland day at school. Nothing special really, we had a couple of classes, and the teacher assigned us a pile of assignments and did a bunch of talking to explain why homework is essential to consolidate our knowledge, which by the way, sounds like nonsense to me. I think we’re going a bit off-topic, but needless to say, the school was nothing special today. After school finished at 4.30, I decided to meet up with two of my friends, Rene and Caitlyn, to go to the coffee shop and finish our bloody assignments. The coffee shop was not so far away, just five minutes of walking, but in the winter, it feels like hell, the wind blows violently, and I can feel the cold slowly penetrating into my skill although I’ve worn 3 layers of clothes.

I whispered to my friends:

Why couldn’t it be a bit less windy, a bit less frigid, and a bit sunnier?

Rene respond:

No, what are you saying, it’s just a bit chilly, that’s it.

As we were crossing the street, Caitlyn saw a cat, not a pet cat, but rather a wild cat, with grey-brown fur and bushy tails with a clearly-defined pattern of black stripes that covered its entire body. It followed us. Through the streets, and even into the coffee shop. She shouted frighteningly:

Hey, can someone just kick it out, agghhh.

Rene assured:

Come on, it’s just a cat, nothing to be scared of.

The cat just stood right in front of the door, blocking the entrance to the coffee shop. Even if we tried to shout at it, it wouldn’t let us in. I asked:

Does this act from the cat foreshadow a message?

Caitlyn replied:

Perhaps?

I recommended:

Shall we just leave?

Rene answered:

You all are crazy, let’s just lift the cat out of the way and enter the coffee shop, the shop looks like usual.

However, when we entered, there was no one, absolutely no one, no employees, no customers, nothing. The lights were still turned on, machines were still working and the decor still looked the same.

Once upon a time, there was a boy living in the countryside. He was an ordinary boy like any other boy. He was around 8 years old. His name is Steve. One day, while he was having fun playing soccer with his friends, he saw a stray cat walking around. His curiosity started to overtake him as the stray cat went to him and hugged him in the legs like trying to drag him somewhere or to show him something. Steve then excused himself from his friends and decided to follow the stray cat into the forest.
The cat then led Steve deep into the forest. Steve is getting impatient over time, but he decides to follow the cat nonetheless. The cat finally leads him into an abandoned house, and Steve takes a further step by going into the abandoned house. The house from the outside looks old, and it looks like the house needs some repairs. But when he peaked in, the house looked new and clean.
He was shocked, as there was a lot of jewelry and a lot of beautiful pictures and drawings inside the house. The most shocking thing is that the house was not dirty at all. It was cleaned regularly by someone mysterious. Steve then finds a fancy-looking briefcase under the old table, he tries to unlock it but he can't. He then took the sledgehammer and smashed the briefcase open. What lies inside made him shocked as he found old pictures of him as a baby with a different couple in the back. He was confused as to who those people were, but as the realization hit him, he realized that he was adopted. He also saw his birth certificate there, which confirmed his suspicion.

Nowadays, when society is increasingly developed, the status of women is gradually restored. However, there are still people who think that women should only stay at home to take care of children and serve the family instead of working. In fact, the reason why women are not taken seriously is because of patriarchal rule. At that time, few women were allowed to go to school, they were only taught lessons in femininity, learned how to sew and please their husbands. This makes society not respect them, even denying what they can do. Women can be extremely talented, they just like men can do hard work, create things that help society. In Vietnam, we have Hai Ba Trung - who stood up to lead the country to fight the invaders. Moreover, we can think of Marie Curie, who discovered radium and polonium, greatly contributing to finding a cure for cancer. Not only that, in terms of today's society, when the pressure is increasing, it is completely unreasonable to put the entire economic burden on the husband's shoulders. Instead, the wife can also go out to earn money to support the family, contributing to increasing income. Thereby, we see that the above notion is extremely wrong. Women and men are equal, they also have the right to work and earn money, not just limited to staying at home to take care of the family.

Traditionally, women have been expected to manage all domestic or household chores, but as time progressed, we see changes being made towards a more equal and balanced society where people from both genders received the same opportunities and responsibilities. In my perspective, we shouldn’t keep this tradition nowadays when as we’re moving towards a feminine society, both genders shall be expected to do the household and domestic chores. Nowadays, we see women working the same long hours shift as men and producing the same quality of work. Therefore, they shouldn’t be the only ones responsible for managing household chores. Furthermore, knowing how to do these household chores also benefit men a lot in self-dependence; you won't always have your mum/girlfriend beside you to help you with your chores, so learning how to do them is very substantial. Overall, when times are changing, circumstances also need to change to shift towards a justice and equal society!

As time passed, many women fought to go to work like men and not remain at home and do housework. Household tasks should be completed by both husband and wife so that both can have time to do their own tasks without becoming overwhelmed. Women, in my view, should still do housework, but with the assistance of their significant other. This may help them with reducing stress. Taking care of their kid, coming home from work, completing work tasks, and also doing chores is a lot to work on, so if a significant other can assist their wives, which I believe they can, that would be fantastic on dealing with their stress. Not only that, but men should do what women do, and women should do what men do; both should assist each other with job tasks and even domestic chores. As I previously stated, males helping women with chores can reduce a woman's tension. This remark refers to ladies experiencing stress. Women would feel less stressed and cherished if they did not have to do as much housework. Of course, they still need to do some cleanup, but with the assistance of their significant other. If women did not have to do as much housekeeping, they would feel less overwhelmed and valued. Of course, they still need to do housework, but doing so with the help of their significant other would be healthier for both of them.

I think we don't need to keep this tradition nowadays. Before, people made this tradition because they thought 'only' mens can make money since they are better than women. However, nowadays, the world is changing. When we go outside, we see many womens working and many mens doing housechores. However, there are still some places that keeps this prejudice tradition. For example, in some household, when the mom is out for work, even when someone sees the dirty dishes, instead of thinking to wash them, they just ignores it. Thinking, that mom will do everything. Isn't this situation ironic? The fact that women should be the one who do chores, and men should the one who makes money are just prejudice. Why should women be the one who need to do all the domestics? I think it is fair when both men and women should be able to manage the domestics and make money.

Robin carefully opened the box given from an unknown person. In the morning, she had discovered one box from an unknown person left in the front door. On the box, there was a note saying to buy small toys and to fill food and water in a bowl. I didn't know why, but I did what the note said. Like that, that is the reason I am carefully opening the box. Since I don't know what is in it. I closed my eyes tightly, and opened the box as quickly as possible.

When I opened the box, I felt something soft and puffy. Wait what? Soft? I slowly opened one eye and saw a small round figure that looked kind of like a....dog?

"RUFF! RUFF!!"

Oh my gosh...What is a dog doing in here? It looks so newborned! Why would someone leave a living thing in a box, in front of a person that they don't even know?? And plus, I have never raised a pet! What am I supposed to do??

"RRHH!!!! RUFF!!"

Wait a minute, the dog was barking to something. What could it possibly be barking at? Would it be a stranger? A kidnapper? A robber? Or even a criminal?? I slowly looked back. Risking my nerves, I looked back to the place the dog was barking a lot at.

"Huh..?"

Surprisingly, there was nothing. Then why was the barcking? Who would it possibly bark to? When I looked at the dog again, I realized its eye was heading towards the floor. So, I just looked down because I knew it would be fake.

"What in the world!!!??"

It was not fake! Th...the....the toy figure!!! It...it...is moving???? It turned out, the dog was barking at something. But, why would the doll move? I mean how would it even move!! It's a doll! A small figure!

Few hours passed, and I had figured out something. Through the hours of panicking, I had figured out that the dolls only move when it hears a sound. Like when the dog barks, it moves. Right now, luckily, the dog is eating and drinking water so it is staying quiet.

Although, I had figured out the pattern, I am still freaked out at the moving doll. Why would a doll only move in rhythms? I mean seriously, how would it move??

"KKLLICK" "KHHLICK"

"Huh..?"

"KLICKK" "KLICK"

Now, what could that sound be? My head started listening carefully to the sound and headed to it. And that was the very moment I found the truth. It was a MOVING doll. The doll was suppose to move. I felt so embarrassed for not checking what the toy was before buying it.

My eyes lit up as I thought the plan through. This going to be the best idea ever! Mum just couldn't say no this time. I took a deep breath and began to draw a diagram. After an hour of drawing nonstop, I finally finished it. Now the most important step, show mum the diagram. I walked out of my room quietly. Head to the kitchen, I saw mom cooking something. I cleared my throat and mom turned to look at me. I spoke up:
"Mom about the concert tomorrow-".
Didn't let me finish mom cut off: "No we already talked about this, you are not going anywhere". Knowing mom would say that so I showed her the diagram.
"Here is the plan I made, tomorrow when school is finished I will try to complete all my homework on the bus. And then when I'm home I will walk the dog and cook dinner so you will don't have to when you're home from work. Then I can go to the concert."
Mum was thinking for a second and said "What about grandma, aren't we going to visit her tomorrow?"
Unfortunely I forgot about that.
"Fine, you can go to the concert after visited grandma. It won't be long, grandma just really excited to see you, you know?
Well that's not too bad, at least I can still attended at the concert.
The next day, I done my work exactly like what I've planned. After dinner, mom drove me to grandma's house. Grandma greeted us with a big smile and a freshly baked pie. I sat on a sofa while mom and grandma chatting about something in the kitchen. Then grandma stepped in and sat on the sofa with me. She asked about school, my life, my relationship with mom and a lots more. But I just couldn't focus on the conversation what in my head at that moment was all about the concert. I'm so so excited. Grandma noticed I didn't answer her questions so she started telling stories. To be honest, her stories are really interesting and somehow so nostalgist it really got my attention. She told me about her childhood snack, her life in refugee camp, war, her dad, etc. I closed my eyes, and tried to imagine her vivid stories.
"Hey Ben I think it's time to go, you don't want to be late to the concert right?"
No respond. Mom headed to the living room to call me but what she saw was me sleeping on grandma's lap. Mom sighed. At the end of the day, I would be so regretful if I didn't attend at my favorite singer's concert, but what I'm going to regret more is if I didn't hear grandma's journal.

The town where I was born was a strange place. My brother and I grew up with the creepy stories that had been told by the villagers about the monsters living in the forest, along with scary things living under the water. However, fortunately, during the time when we are (were) living here, we have never met anything too scary, far beyond human awareness. Of course, it is not until that day.

That day after school, my brother and I suddenly received the news that our parents will not go (be) home today. It was quite strange, because they did not often have such unexpected jobs. I was bewildered to look at my brother James, and asked if he knew anything about this. He shook his head.

"Don't worry too much, I believe they will come home soon." James said and left upstairs.

I said to myself that everything would be okay, we were no longer children and nothing bad would happen.

However, the insecurity in me is still growing.

I don’t know why.

That night, after having dinner and completing the exercise, James decided that it was time for us to go to bed. I glanced at the clock, it was 11 pm, I wondered why time could pass so fast.

James looked at me, he laughed softly: "What's wrong? Do you need to read the story before going to bed?"

"Or is our little Alan afraid about the monsters under the bed?"

I glared at James, my voice was quite grumpy, I told him to go back to bed.

James rubbed my head and said good night, it was just like a normal mission that needed to be completed each day.

I looked at the neck clock again hanging on the wall (again), still at 11 pm.

Suddenly, I found this scene so familiar.

I gradually fell asleep. Everything is (was) peaceful and comfortable. Suddenly, there was something noisy out there, like wanting to stir the whole sky. It sounded like a roaring forest fire was right outside our door. I suddenly woke up, after that, I gently walked to the window, trying to see what was going on through the glimmering light.

I was very surprised to see a gleaming alien spaceship had just landed in the middle of our front garden. I ran to James' bed and shook him awake. He looked still dreamy (sleepy), but this not the time for him to continue to dream

"James, James! There was a UFO perched in front of our house." I screamed at him and looked out the window. At that time, the aliens were coming down from the UFO.

They wore a black outfit, but because of the far distance, I could not see their faces. But what surprised me was that they look similar to humans.

James frowned, he quickly considered the situation. I could see James's face confused, but he seemed to have nothing to fear.

After that, James returned and pushed me into the nearby closet. He rubbed my head trying to comfort me.

"I will go down to see what is happening, please stay here and do not go down there. I will take care of everything." Then before I could say anything, James left.

I don't know how long I was in it, but the fear was gradually engulfing me. I opened the door slightly to look at the clock, everything still stopped at 11 o'clock.

And right now, a thought suddenly surfing me.

Is that watch broken, or has the time stopped?

Not good, I should go see my brother right now. I stood up and walked out of the room, crept step by step downstairs. Everything was strangely quiet. And then suddenly a sound rang out behind me, I startled and turned around. A tall man with a monstrous face was staring at me, he mumbled something and was about to approach. I shouted and rushed out, no longer remembering the bigger danger out there - the UFO.

And as soon as I touched the door and opened it, I bumped into a familiar arm. I looked up, that was James. Before I was happy to see my brother again and know that he was still safe, I saw the aliens. Surprisingly, their attitude looks wary and reverent at... James?

I heard the voice coming out on my head.

"Didn't I tell you to wait for me?"

After that, I fainted.

I woke up from sleep when the warm rays of the sun shone through the window. James was holding our breakfast, he smiled and said:

"Father and mother just got work, only two of us are at home today."

I nodded, then suddenly looked at the clock.

It was 11 o'clock.

"Is this clock broken?" I asked.

James stopped, then shook his head: "No my dear Alan, it's still running."

Cobwebs and dust covered every wall, banister, and painting I could see. Carefully, I turned and screamed at what I saw. Without stopping, I kept running with my eyes closed past the skeletons and the bugs that were encircling them until I ran into something. A tall guy, his visage hidden by a black hat and cloak, spoke only the word "run" while looking down. I was attempting to make out his features as I stared at him aimlessly when all of a sudden, I lost consciousness, and everything went dark.

Is arificial intelligence a threat to humans? Why?

How much are you relying on AI(artificial intelligence) these days? Nowadays, AI plays a huge role in life, which is helping humans a lot. However, it is also causing a great threat to society. As we stated above, AI is immensely impacting human lives. And this caused 97% of mobile users to rely on it a lot. Right now, AI is not a massive threat to humans, but it's expected to give a huge harm to humans when AI improves in the future. It is expected by 2030, 46% of the current jobs will be gone, and 15% of people would be losing jobs due to AI- automation. Also, through this progress, several people would be getting used to living in a place full of AI. This would be creating a terrible habit for them is the nearby future. Humans would be expecting AI to do homework and cooking and cleaning without doing it for themselves. Yes, it might be comfortable for now, but soon they can end up getting manipulated. Humans would be soon controlled by AI. To conclude, we believe that although AI creates benefits, these benefits will soon become harmful. Therefore, AI is a threat to humans.

Is AI a threat to humans?

Nowadays as technology develops, more and more people are having a question: will AI bring humans to a brighter future, or will it make humans more dependent on? Some people believe that AI has greatly helped them, while others believe that AI is negatively impacting people’s job lives and should be prevented immediately. We all know that AI brings lots of advantages to humans’ daily life. It helps us in school, for example, searching the information and solving homework, and at work, we can easily connect with our business partner for having a discussion. Not only that, it can also improve decision making which helps people work more efficiently. Al allows people to relax while helping them in completing the majority of their chores. Nowadays, people have created smart homes, which use artificial intelligence to assist humans with almost everything in their households. On the other hand, overuse of AI will increase people's reliance on it. For example, many websites can assist students in completing their homework without them having to think about it; they will ultimately cease on doing homework themselves and rely on AI. Furthermore, AI is becoming more popular in the workplace; businesses are now using AI more often than humans, and people are being dismissed more frequently as AI is being used almost everywhere. The number of unemployed individuals will eventually rise. In conclusion, although AI brings to humans a good deal of advantages, it still can cause harm to human society.

In my opinion, I think that artificial intelligence is still not a threat to humans. Even though many people think that AI might bring a lot of concerns as to what it is capable of, AI is still not a threat. The spread of artificial intelligence brings many benefits that make our tasks much easier. It helps with daily tasks such as cleaning the house and doing the laundry. This removes the burden of cleaning and saves time, as you could be doing something else while AI is working. Researchers showed that humans are productive for 3 to 4 hours a day, while artificial intelligence could work endlessly without any breaks. This helps maintain or reduce the workload a person has. AI could also help with reducing the mistakes that humans make, as it is programmed to make almost no mistakes when performing a certain task. The complicated task now could be done by AI, such as space exploration or land exploration. They can also provide near-maximum accuracy compared to humans. In conclusion, AI might be a threat to humans in the future, but AI now is very beneficial and reliable as it only follows commands made by people

Emails and letters are two forms of written communication that share some similarities while also having distinct differences. One similarity is that both emails and letters can be used for personal or professional communication. However, emails are generally more informal and shorter than letters, which are more formal and often longer in length. Emails are electronic messages that can be sent and received almost instantaneously, while letters are physical documents that need to be printed and mailed, and therefore take longer to arrive. Emails can be easily forwarded to others, while letters must be physically copied or scanned to be shared. Emails can include attachments and hyperlinks, while letters cannot. Both forms of communication require good grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Emails can be edited and revised more easily than letters, but letters can be more personal and intimate, as they require more effort and thought to compose. Finally, letters often require a signature and other formal elements, such as a printed letterhead or formal salutation, while emails are generally more casual in tone and structure.

Writing emails vs writing letters

Nowadays, in modern society, we tend to inform each other rather via email, but not by letters. In fact, statistics have shown that 93.6% of people aged 25-44 are active email users in the US. But in a digital age where people can easily send an email with just one click, some people still prefer to hand-write their letters and there are numerous reasons to explain this “strange” preference.
First of all, letters still have a very remarkable place in one's heart, in the age where almost everyone proposes to their crush by simply sending them a text or digital message, writing a letter would make you stand out of the particular norm. Thus, people can receive tens and hundreds of texts and emails every day, but they wouldn’t have received a letter in months. It implies the fact that that one person is special to you and that you even took your time to hand-write and decorate it.
Furthermore, by sending a physical letter, you can provide gifts and supplements alongside the text. For instance, if you are on a vacation and want to send your friend at home a souvenir that you’ve bought, it would have been physically impossible to just send it through email.
In contrast, letters have their drawbacks from their benefits. A major disadvantage for people to start switching from writing letters to email is because of its convenience and cheap price. While sending emails costs near to none, letters cost much more. According to USPS, a regular-sized envelope costs 63 cents. Contrary to email, which costs only a little bit of your electricity and internet bills. Letters also take time to arrive, on the other hand, emails are quick and easy, also we could know if the information has reached the other person.
There are key differences between letters and emails. For example, emails are much more convenient than letters, but letters leave a remarkable impression on the receivers.
