Students in math classes researched real-life applications of mathematics and created presentations using tools such as WeVideo, Slides, Power Point which were then presented to the classmates. Students learned to use Jamboard collaboratively in groups, present their solutions and learn from each other, as they would in our regular Thinking Classrooms. Some grade 9 students participated in a Virtual Math Trip from UofT Outreach Program. Grade 11 students participated in Trigonometry Virtual Field Trip at Riverwood Conservancy in Mississauga, the territory of the Mississauga's of the Credit First Nation, that is within the lands protected by the "Dish with One Spoon" wampum agreement. Students learned math as well as information about the land, which is home to many First Nations, Metis, and Inuit peoples. We are grateful to have the opportunity to live and work on this land.

I've been so blessed to connect with students virtually throughout the year. While we've had over 40 students attend Chaplaincy programs throughout the year, one highlight for me has been seeing a handful of students, mainly Gr. 9 and 10's, feel welcomed, accepted and at home with out community. They attended various weekly events including: Alpha, Summit, Life Teen, Testimony Tuesday, Vocations Day, Catholic Education Week events, Rosary and more. Seeing them come out consistently showed me that they need and appreciate one another. It warmed by heart to know that feel strongly connected with one another and with God. St. Augustine, pray for us!

Rather than give up or abandon elements of our practice that had worked in the past, we seemed to find ways to keep the essence of these things, finding new modes of delivery by which to "execute" them (though I'm sure most of us had moments where a different sort of execution seemed like a good idea as well).
