It has flaps of skin that fold out of its body, which it uses to glide from tree to tree. The name simia means monkey in latin. The simia is called this because it lives in the trees and climbs around them. The simia lives in forests of North America. It has sharp claws that allow it to hold on to trees when climbing. It has a long mouth that it uses to eat bugs  and leaves of the tree. It has excellent hearing that allows it to hear if there are bugs inside the bark or not. It also has sharp teeth that it uses to peel bark off the tree. If it is threatened it will glide from tree to tree to escape or freeze because the simia’s fur blends into trees.  Their predators are bears, wolves and mountain lions. Young simias can be prey to eagles and coyotes. It mostly feasts on arctic ground squirrels, red squirrels and marmots. Its name is snowy wind wolf in Latin, it is called that because it plays in the wind like it were fighting with its siblings. It has short ears but its hearing is very sharp. It can hear things 3 miles away. It does not enjoy having humans around but if there are people around its territory, it tries to avoid them or scare them off if the humans are too close to its den. The Ventus lupus aerium nivei can live to 80 to 90 years old. It does not have any predators but it can still camouflage with the environment. Requin is french for shark. With a smooth layer of skin that sheds every 2 hours so that it can glide through the water. Their skin on the top is blue just like the ocean and on the bottom it is white so if a predator is under they just blend in and they are very hard to see. The requin does not have a blowhole like other dolphins, instead it has gills like a shark. The requin has eyes on each side of its head. The requins mouth is filled with rows of tiny sharp teeth and if it loses one, one from the back just takes its place. The requin has 2 fins on the bottom that help it swim and one on top to help it slice through the water. It also has a very strong tail to help move faster. Its predators are killer whales and sharks.
