I want to get a step closer to my dream of being a hotel manager through an internship program.
Hospitality is meaningful because I have the quality of hospitality that gives joy to guests and cooperation with my team members. I've never worked directly at a hotel, but I've been in charge of managing and hospitality guests, and team work at a buffet, supporting teachers and helping customers as an assistant at an academy, and taking hotel management courses in Hawaii, one of the most popular tourist attractions.
The internship is a great opportunity to combine the various customer care experiences I have accumulated so far with the contents of the class and reorganize it into a big hospitality spirit.

It can be proved by volunteer work. For example, I volunteered at LEI which is a workforce development project that encourages young Hawaiians to choose a career in the Hawaiian visitor industry by providing them with the means they need to achieve success.
Secondly, the Hawaiian value I chose is Kuleana. This means responsibility or accountability, which can be interpreted as providing excellent service and meeting customer needs, as well as fulfilling work and responsibilities in the workplace. Demonstrate commitment to accountability and excellence to realize the value of Kuleana. The way to express Kuleana is to fulfill obligations and commitments. I, if I've agreed to participate in a group project or attend a meeting, show up on time and prepare.
The last is Ohana, Hawaii's value that emphasizes the importance of family, community, and togetherness. This value can be expressed by focusing on building relationships with guests and colleagues while creating a sense of belonging, understanding their culture. The way to express the Ohana that I practiced is to build strong relationships with my friends. For example, I tried to learn about other cultures and traditions by attending cultural events held by the school. By embracing diversity and promoting understanding and acceptance, I embodied the value of Ohana.
