         <description><![CDATA[<p>My name is Gurjot Shergill. <mark>I believe the more members in a family results in more gallons of water getting used.</mark> We collected our class set of data by filling out a Google form and having our information get put into a spreadsheet. The purpose of this project is to realize the amount of water that gets used compared to the amount of people in a household using it.     </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>On this scatter plot I see there is no family with less than 3 family members, and no family with more than 8 family members. I wonder if these families are made up of mainly adults or children. In my <mark>line of best fit my slope is 407/1 which means for every 1 person 407 gallons of water are getting used. The y intercept for my line of best fit is -816, which is statistically correct but is not actually accurate.</mark></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>My line of best fit and the least square residual line are similar because they cross over in the middle at about 4.5 people and 900 gallons. They are more different than they are similar because <mark>my line goes more horizontally while the LSRL goes more vertical and seems to be closer to the data points.</mark></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The R^2 value tells me how well the data given on the LSRL really is. Considering the data and the errors the model is prone to have the <mark>R value just gives a closer estimate to what the actual line is.</mark></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>A statement about water usage and the number of people in a household I can make is <mark>the more members in a household will result in more water being used.</mark> As seen on the graph above usually the more amount of people use more gallons of water. I don't believe there are any confounding variables that lead to the residual besides the amount of people because more people will use more water.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I believe the story my bivariate data model is telling me is that there is a correlation between the number of individuals in a household with water usage. <mark>My final claimed statement is that the amount of water getting used will increase or decrease depending on the amount of people in a household because the amount of people affects how much water gets used.</mark></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><mark>The city of Roseville uses an estimated amount of 15834160.24 gallons per day</mark>. My calculations for getting this number were y=133(151.901)+26279729, y=20202833+26279729, which came out to be y=464825.62. I feel as though this value this reasonable because the population of Roseville is about 151091 and after doing some calculations it comes out to roughly about <mark>104 gallons per person per day</mark> which is similar to my household data. I believe we can use this information to make accurate predictions of other schools and households that are around the same size as the ones in Roseville. However I believe this data set would not give the most accurate results when trying to find other city or state data because there are many different cities throughout the state with a different amount of population alongside other factors that determine water usage such as the temperature, weather, accessibility, and social class. Considering we use 15834160.24 gallons of water per day, we would use about 110839121.68 gallons per week (15834160.24x7), 475024807.2 gallons per month (15834160.24x30), and 5779468487.6 gallons per year (15834160.24x365). These are my rough estimates but to get a better idea some additional information I may need is water use per month and adding those together because they vary from factors such as weather and temperature and I could get this from collecting peoples water bill.</p>]]></description>
