Mama is the mother to Stick and Sam she is seen as overprotective and caring for her children. This is also due to what is happening during this time with racism and she feels if they leave her sight they'll get hurt. When Stick was sent to the hospital for having a beer bottle smashed against his head. Mama ran to Sam and held him asking him over and over again if he was ok.

Stick and Sam's mother seems to be very caring. While she doesn't argue with their father about his response to their actions, she reacts with more compassion. She seems to take care of them; we see her joking around with Sam about the food in his flashback. In addition, when she goes to the hospital, the first thing she does is check if the boys are okay.

Stick and sam's Mother is caring and understanding, she listens to their father and follows him and doesn't argue with him about his actions and just reacts with some compassion

The boys mother is very similar to their father in the things she believes in and how she treats others. She is civil and loving, but also disagrees with her husband on many levels.

sam and sticks mom seems to be very nice and she seems to care a lot about stick and sam and be very fearful sometimes but she also seems like she lets there father make most decisions and seems like she doesn't question what the father says and seems like she trust the father a lot

Mama is a very caring and loving person. She worries a lot for her husband and her children. When stick was in the hospital for his fight at the protest, Mama showed up almost immediately to see if her boys were okay and didn't question what happened, just as long as they were safe.

She does care a lot I see that's where her sons get that she is ongoing and always worries for their safety and makes sure they are always okay.

Majorie is an incredibly sweet and compassionate mother. She may be overbearing but I think it’s because she feels such intense emotions. She seems a lot like the traditional mother who would obey the husband without much questions and take care of the family.

Marjorie seems like she wants what's best for her children. She wants to protect them but also wants them to be aware of what is happening during their time. She supports her husband with trying to get equality with peace.

She seems like an over protective mother and it seems like she would do whatever it takes to care and protect her children
