Georgette : In the morning, I went to the market and when I came back, my jewelry was still there. At noon, we had a couple of friends. Around 1:00 pm, my husband went on strike for the buses. After, I cleared the table. I left the friends alone in the living room. When they left, at the end of the afternoon, I sat in my armchair and read my daily newspaper. My husband came home around 7:30 pm with a former colleague who was in a rush to go to the bathroom. 

Interview the couple of friends : We only went out to have lunch with Georges and Georgette. then we left around 5:00 pm
We then question the neigbour : 
The inspector asked him what he did in the afternoon.
The neighbour replies : I took the bus to the cinema and then I retaliated against him at the end of the afternoon for returning home.
the old colleague was questioned : He say : "I met Georges and I talked to him, I told him that I was in a great hurry to go to the bathroom. He offered to go home because he didn't live far away. I accepted with pleasure.
