Although my Dad and I hardly got along these last few years, I believe he is a part of who I am today. I learned the importance of forgiveness and apology through him. This means that although forgetting will take longer, attempting to forgive and heal my relationships has become an important part of who I am today. Right now, I have learned the importance of forgiveness in my values.

School enables me to learn academically, but something sometimes undervalued is the importance of the community inside schools. You interact with so many people, you learn how to communicate and learn values from the people you interact with. In school, you can't pick and choose who to interact with, you make it work somehow. Whether I get along with a person or not, I always find myself learning a certain value from them.

Through them, patience and kindness are ethical values I learned. With my younger brother, I learned the value of patience, being patient, because not everybody knows the things I do. Ive became more aware of the lives everyone else has aside from mine.

Out of all the religions I've researched, something that pushes me to be the best version of myself has influenced me. I've realized through the research of various religions, that putting myself first is one ethical value that is important to me. Instead of worshipping a figure to come to fix a situation by practising sacrificing and good deeds, taking care of myself is the best deed I can do for any figure I believe in. I've started to put myself out there more since believing this.

Candy

Candy is a treat I like to snack on a lot. However, this also taught me the importance of self-control. This applies in all situations, situations where you must step back even though it's not in your best interest. It can come back to you later, as can your skin or teeth after you've finished a candy bar.
