1. Students will be able to set personal goals for themselves and can work with their classmates and teachers to reach their goals. We (teachers) will also share student assessment data with them so that they can see how they are doing.

2. With Just in time Direct instruction, students are given a warm-up before the lesson. It is usually a type of scenario or something that will engage them and require students to use prior knowledge to be able to answer a question of how or why. It also encourages the student to look at their own experiences to be able to answer the question.
Varied instruction is great for students because they are able to choose what they want to do, and work at their own pace. I LOVE the idea of a menu choice-board where the students can pick an appetizer, entree, and desert.
3.

1. Co-planning: I plan to have students know what their current goals are, where they are now, and where they should shoot to get to by the end of their goal period. I have shown students their STAR scores before, and seen great improvements after the students put it in their mindset that they want to improve and do better. Co-planning proves to be a way to help students succeed.

2. JiTT provides you with not only an opportunity to pre assess and understand what your kids know, but also ways to find how different students will relate to the new concept. This will help you create lessons and guide lessons for students who are hard to keep focus. This will create an ownership for students to connect with that topic.

I love the idea of using flexible seating! No more desks!!! I want to use choice boards for the projects students will be doing in my class. This way I can meet all students' needs. Blending learning was a new term for me- blending traditional learning and technology.

I have used student led conferences before and thought they were great. I saw more parent participation because they were coming in to hear their child present instead of the teacher. Our conferences were scheduled blocks, where a few were going on a time and the teacher spent time visiting each conference. Translators could possibly be scheduled in certain blocks of time per classroom. It does take 2-3 months of preparation to get portfolios together. It was a good experience for students to see and verbalize their own progress.
