I think there are a few ethical computing guidlines that students violate most often. The first, seventh, and tenth commandments. The first, is to not harm others. I feel with social media, these days people write hurtful comments to others. As for the seventh commandment, there are times where students will violate academic intergrity. They will not cite the sources and copy word from word, basically plagiarizing. The tenth commandment is similar to the first. In the sense that students should treat others with kindess and respect, rather than leaving hurtful words.

The violation of the seventh commandment could be from not knowing how to cite properly. There are courses and youtube videos that could help a student maintain academic integrity. English courses provide material and show the different styles of formatting a paper as well as how to cite sources. As for the first and tenth commandment there could be many possible reasons as to why they occur. Perhaps a student is dealing with personal matters and as a way to help them feel better they may take it out on others.

If there was a way to educate people about these guidelines it would help reduce the unethical behavior. A possible idea could be either an article or a post on social media that could get the attention of people. They could read into the matter and gain a better understanding.
