1. In vitro gametogenesis (IVG): A biomedical process in which gametes (eggs or sperm) are created in a laboratory setting using stem cells.

2. Pluripotent stem cells: Cells that have the ability to develop into almost any type of cell in the body.

3. Somatic cell: Any cell of the body except sperm and egg cells. Examples include skin or blood cells.

4. Primordial germ cells: Early cells that emerge during the development of an embryo and eventually give rise to sperm or eggs.

5. Follicle: A small secretory cavity, sac, or gland, particularly in the ovaries, that is vital for the maturation of eggs.

6. Genetic screening: The process of testing embryos for certain genes or genetic conditions to ensure they are free of specific diseases or conditions.

7. Eugenics: A controversial practice or belief in improving the genetic quality of the human population, often associated with selective breeding or genetic manipulation.

8. Bioethics: The study of ethical issues and moral dilemmas arising from advances in biology and medicine.

9. Reproductive biology: A branch of biology that deals with the reproductive processes, structures, and functions of organisms.

10. Embryo: An early stage of development in multicellular organisms, in humans typically referring to the first eight weeks after fertilization.
