This is caused in part by poor parents who cannot cook having access to large sizes of cheap (and unhealthy) food which leads them to feed their kids these large sizes, in turn continuing the vicious cycle of people being unable to be healthy. Unhealthiness that fast food companies promote, by not wasting resources on people's food. It's all grease. Not to mention the mono cropping, plastic overuse, and use of pesticides...
If the government took away rights like owning a gun while you have a kid, I think that would be fair. I think that soda can be unhealthy in large amounts, but it's peoples decision on the amount's of soda they drink. To add, there are many other things that can cause damage in large amounts so why would the government start on soda.
