It is a remote and small island located in the south of the Pacific Ocean. The name in Spanish is "Isla de Pascua" and in Polynesian is "Rapa Nui". It is one of the most isolated islands on the planet, located at 3,512 kilometres far from Chile. We can get in by plane from Santiago, Chile, to Hanga Roa airport at the island on a flight lasting about 5h. I stayed there for 6 days in a small and comfortable inn in Hanga Roa, the only village on the island.

The main attractions are the ancient sculptures of Moais, fantastic human figures craved into rocks between the years 1250 and 1500. The number of these sculptures on the island is impressive and they are so big that you only really notice it seeing in person.
