Heather entered panic because of heartbreak, she never intended to enter this dangerous game but she wants to escape the boring town of carp, no she needs to escape. Doge has every intention to enter,he has been preparing to enter ever since his sister was disabled from this same game, he wants revenge. After the first task of jumping of the cliff Heather,Natalie, and Doge form a group so that way if any of them win they will all get some money. During the second challenge Heather is able to get the bonus prize, and this further cements the alliance. In the third challenge they are challenged to spend the night in a proclaimed haunted house. During the night the house burns down, the group is able to get out safely but there is one thing that goes wrong,one person dies in the basement after he was drunk,nobody knew he was in there. Now the police know about Panic and are looking to shut it down.This makes the game all the more dangerous. Little after the third challenge Heather comes home to find her mother and her mothers friend stoned and drunk. Heather leaves with her younger sister and realizes that now she needs to play this game for her sister so she can take her sister away from her mom. While Heather is waiting for her longtime boyfriend Matt to show up to the cliff where the first task of Panic is being held Heather thinks that she will ¨tell him that she loved him tonight¨ this proves my theme because minutes later Heather chooses to put herself at risk and join Panic because she sees Matt with another girl right after she was thinking this.
