Moses freed the Hebrews from the slavery of the pharaohs and help them to pass through the red sea leading the Hebrews away from the Egyptians. They camped in front of Mount Sinai which is a significant place for Moses as it was the place where God told Moses that he should free the Hebrews. One instance is that God called Moses to go at the top of the mountain to which God gave Moses the ten commandments. This encapsulates all the entire moral and spiritual way of life God wanted the people to live. Considering that it gives all the moral and spiritual way of how God wanted us to live , it has played a significant role in teaching and the way Christianity is being spread.

Even though finding the Moluccas was the priority of the Spaniards, they also brought their religion to the Philippines in hopes to convert people into Christianity. In March 31, 1521, Magellan ordered a mass which became the first mass ever recorded in the Philippines taking place at Limasawa Island of Southern Leyte as the historian believed.
