         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) March 1918 the port of Glasgow</div><div>2) The Borough of Hackney recommended that victims stay isolated, go to bed the moment symptoms appeared. In Keswick, Cumbria, the Medical Officer arranged for a free supply of “disinfectant mixture”. Every morning, formalin was sprinkled on the floor of Brighton’s public library and post office, and tramcars were fumigated in Doncaster. They took these actions in order to try and prevent further infections.&nbsp;</div><div>3) The government wasn’t very successful since most of these actions were hard to enforce within the community</div><div>4) 228,000 estimated in the UK were killed</div><div>5) The changes that happened were increased cleanliness practices like washing hands as well as distancing standards and medical advances.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
