During black history month and throughout the year, I teach my students about different periods from Juneteenth through to current day.

Thorn: I met with a group of math educators at UC Davis math project and was questioned about by doctorate and how I got into the project, as if I didn't belong.

Bud: I'm working on a project within my district to get more black and brown children into advanced/accelerated math classes/stem programs starting in upper elementary schools.
