What did he challenge?

He challenged the unfair rule and abuse of power of the absolute monarchs and church. He said that the citizens should have the RIGHT to overthrow the oppressive government or whenever they see fit. He also challenged the structure and order of society at that time. He believed that we should abolish rule and the government to live in a 'state of nature'. He also challenged the idea that all property should belong to the monarch, church or nobles. He believes that at birth, everyone has a right to own their own property, unlike in an absolute monarch where pretty much everything belongs to the monarch. He also challenged the idea of the social hierarchy (in terms of materialistic property) saying that if one person doesn't get something than no one else gets it, basically stating that everyone should own the same thing or you can only have something if everyone else has it.

John Locke influenced the belief of social status your were born into is equal. The man has the rights to own private belongings only when agreed with all. He believe that everyone should live in the State of Nature because god laws made it equal to all. Everyone must have different points of view. Kings are not making to help all but themselves, and if the government fails to protect or keep natural law the third estate has the rights to overthrow them; the best government is one that accepted all people rights equal. He also believe that naturally you have rights when born to be equal to all.

John Locke's ideas contribution to citizenship were similar to the idea of Communism developed by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. This is the society where wealth and property should be divided evenly over every citizen, and everyone should have the same property, the same wealth, the same reputation, the same everything. But what made this idea collapse was that then again, the government would control too much power and the people would have no power.
