It is very possible, though it depends on whether or not there are more countries with a declining population or more with an increasing population. Though, almost all countries are growing it would be several years before its exceeded. The earth would maybe start to concave in on itself if it were to be exceeded or slowly begin to crumble.

Although the current population of the earth is rapidly increasing, I doubt the population will ever exceed the carrying capacity. This is unlikely because people wont let it the population go over and once the population gets to high people will start having less, and less children once the world is evenly developed and the population stays the same.

I think that it is very possible that the carrying capacity of the world could increase. However, it depends on the population growth of every country. Also, as people are being born, there are people dying at the same time and not many people take that into consideration. That factor could almost equal out the population. Not to mention, there are also diseases and other sicknesses that effect the amount of living people.
