I believe the United States should help you certain extent because if they want the goals to be met by 2030, we would have to work together. We should achieve over all equality because that is an overarching problem Latin America is experiencing and it would benefit a lot of the countries experiencing problems tight now. For example, Brazil with their covid deaths and deaths in crowded areas and mistreatment of women in Trinidad.

The U.S. should give more financial aid to Latin America. This can be used to fund Puerto Rico's power grid in order for homes to be lit up again. The aid can also be used to stabilise the Chilean economy with better paying jobs or the reduction of the wealthy 1%. The aid can also be utilised for military/police interference against Haitian gang activity. This interference can also be used against Maduro, especially under the circumstance that it is a possibility he can be charged for 'crimes against humanity.'

I believe that the US has the ability to reform many of the corrupt governments found within Latin America. By placing sanctions upon countries with corrupt government, their imports and exports will decrease drastically, hurting their economy, and thus their government. While this will also hurt the general populace, they are already in a dire situation, and by weakening their government, it gives opposing parties and chance to take control and reform the government into a strong institution that strives for peace and justice. An example of this would be with Maduro and his torture of opposing party members. Should the US choose to place sanctions upon the government, Maduro would lose a lot of support due to the declining condition of living, leaving him more open to opposing parties, which potentially could lead to governmental reform.

The United States should take a role in Latin America. While L.A. is suffering in the ways it is (characterized by Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, and Argentina), the goal of the United Nations was to come together under a common idea of welfare. Partnership is a fundamental step in achieving the 17 global goals. As a more developed nation of the world, the U.S. take up the mantle as a provider and leader. Help is needed, and the United States has an abundance to give.

In my honest opinion, the USA should take a supportive role for the countries in dire need of it and to also help get rid of dictators/unruly leaders (like Venezuela). For example, regarding the crisis in Haiti they could help assist in decreasing the mass amounts of inflation, gang violence, and poverty would do a lot for the impoverished nation. There are several other countries that could really be helped, another example being Venezuela. Under a brutal dictatorship they have suffered massively and their economy and country is in basically ruins. The US helping them recover, and also help get rid of Maduro would be a massive W for them. Doing this for even a few countries would massively help Latin America, but that is if it is done properly.

I believe the US should take the role of helping Latin America because certain countries in Latin America are so economically and socially disadvantaged. In Haiti, the citizens are being denied sanitary drinking water and food due to violent gangs, so many Haitians are hungry and malnourished. A way the US can deal with this issue is by sending food and resources to better the health of Haitians. Another issue is that in other areas across Latin America, there are extreme climate changes such as hurricanes in Puerto Rico. I believe we could lessen the damages of the flooding if we just took better care of our environment.

I think he US should give more aid to Latin American countries because high poverty rates like in Haiti and Nicaragua have become unbearable. If we were to send resources like food and help rebuild shelters, people in Latin America may have a better chance in a developed life. Without being said though if we were to aid Latin American countries it is important to also preserve their culture and make sure we dont change or infiltrate it as much as possible. If Latin American countries were to improve their standard of living, people wouldnt have a reason to want to immigrate and seek asylum. This would help with Americas immigration problem seeing that most of our immigration comes from Latin American countries.

This can be used to help with the problem of hunger in not only Venezuela but in other countries in Latin America. This could also help with better healthcare in Latin America, providing better treatments, clean tools, and safer hospitals. Also UN goals were set to come together and make the world sustainable.

I think they should take role in helping people be treated better/ get better and healthier jobs. People in Latin Americas health is decreasing pretty rapidly due to their working conditions. Kids are working in garbage dumps just to find plastic they can sell so they can earn money to be able to eat that day. Not only would health be better, but also there would be less poverty because people will have sustainable jobs and education. Many kids in Latin America can’t even go to school because they have to stay home and help their parents work so they can be fed. If US took role in helping them in this aspect, they would be much healthier and would cause a huge economic growth for them.

The purpose of the UN is to have good international relationships and progress socially. By helping Latin America, the US would effectively do both of those things. The US could accept Puerto Rico as a state. They already pay taxes that they receive less or no benefits for, and it seems hypocritical considering the US's argument of "No taxation without representation." By becoming a state, it would give Puerto Rico financial benefits that could help improve their economy. It would also give them seats in Congress and the ability to make laws and have a say in decisions that affect them directly.

America has the resources and money to help out poverty stricken countries like Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and more. In the video pertaining to Venezuela's oil, many Venezuelan citizens mentioned that they would prefer to have America take over their government to improve their economy. America is more than capable of going to these countries and showing them how to properly use their resources. With the right leaders helping out, the US can make a huge improvement.

The US should cautiously offer financial aid to countries deserving in Latin America. As we have occasionally seen, financial aid sent to countries can be used in an unintended fashion, creating more problems. Despite this, many countries in Latin America need a lot of help, so the US should continue to offer financial aid on the condition that it does so with more responsibility. For example, the US could fund the crackdown on the theft of indigenous lands in Nicaragua. Additionally, they could offer our scientists and resources to Argentina to assist in the revitalization of the Jaguar species.

The US should take the role of helping Latin America by providing them with financial aid and resources. In many places, such as Haiti, Venezuela, and many other major parts, hunger and famines are a big issue. By providing them with resources like food and clean water, along with the money for them to build shelters, it would help Latin America regain sustainable living.

For example, by providing Columbia with financial aid they would be able to strengthen their law enforcement which they could use to help solve the drug problem they have. Also by providing Latin American countries with financial aid they could increase their infrastructure and provide more jobs to the poor.

The role that US should take in Latin America would be to help the social issues of sick and starving Venezuelan children. Furthermore the US should help with this issue because we have the resources to provide to the sick children. For example families are having to take their kids out of school to help them find ways to make money so that their children won't starve. This type of situation should not be happening. Also they should not be in difficult financial problems that's affecting millions of children. If the US found out about about this then they might possibly donate the necessities for the Venezuelan people by following the zero hunger act. By doing this would save and support millions of lives. Also families won't be struggling trying to make it out in life.

i believe that if the US decides to i make puerto rico a state they should provide significant economic support. although if puerto rico remains out of statehood like the rest of latin america, only absolutely necessary support should be provided. if the US is able to help in small ways such as providing job opportunities or slowing drug trade, it would significantly help the region economically and socially. These small opportunities for support such as increasing tourist activity in latin america in turn would increase jobs skyrocketing the economy for years to come and possibly be a turning point for the region.

In my opinion, The US should take a role in helping Latin America because the US is one of the most developed nations around the globe and they should use this privilege to help others countries in need. The whole point of the United Nations is to unite and improve the world's conditions. The US coming in to help out the suffering countries in Latin America would be an excellent example of the United Nations goals coming into effect. In addition, The US has a stable government, a good healthcare system, and a lot of resources, and with all of these factors they could really have a good impact on Latin America by taking a role in helping them out economically and politically with the situation in Venezuela, socially in countries like Guatemala where violence and homicides are a huge issue, and environmentally in countries such as Puerto Rico with the power outages.

The US should take a role in improving the infrastructure and living conditions in many Latin American countries. Countries like Puerto Rico are suffering because of their inadequate infrastructure, leading to poor living conditions and a struggling economy. If the US were to send adequate economic aid for the purpose of improving and repairing the power grid and building solar-powered energy sources, then Puerto Rico would not have to go through long stages of recovery when a hurricane hits their country.

The United States should take a role in Latin America. The U.S. is a fully developed country where they can provide resources for others who are suffering and can't provide for their people. They should provide more financial aid which can help countries like Guatemala, Haiti, or Kenya with their food supply. These and other countries are facing famine due to climate change and weather events that they aren't even responsible for, it's coming from the U.S. and around Europe. By providing aid, this can help them access more food by trade or help rebuild their land for crops and basic needs to grow.

The U.S should help Latin America by creating educational centers, camps, and financial work centers for the medically sick and handicapped. Additionally the U.S should give Puerto Rico more representation as a state as they already pay taxes. The U.S should allow Puerto Rico to have more representation in the government to chose what happens to their government. Additionally Puerto Rican citizens are still waiting to receive their social security benefits from the taxes they pay. On to the topic of financial aid, handing out money would not be the most wise option to Latin American countries especially because of the corrupt government and leaders that would only want to pocket the money. That is where in this case, the U.S should offer government help and reform to the countries that are willing to change. Educate the young into creating a more ideal society for themselves. Fully support the working class by offering more benefits to working such as food and health care. The U.S can first start by creating a strong power grid that can support Puerto Rico and help them get going. For Bolivia, the U.S can offer more benefits to parents for their child to get an education that will support them better in the long run. It is much optimal to support Latin American countries by creating benefits and systems/changes than to blatantly handout financial aid. The money can easily be used for different purposes.

I believe the U.S. should play a limited role in Latin America. This role should be as the provider of monetary aid and workers. Once a country receives this aid it should should be directed by the country itself. A real life example of this could be seen in the 1910s between the German Empire and the Ottoman Empire. In order to create a railroad that connected the far flung reaches of the Ottoman Empire the Germans provided funding and engineers for a railraod. This however was directed by the Ottomans. A hypothetical example between the U.S. and Latin America could be Panama applying for U.S. aid in order to maintain the Panama Canal. While the U.S. would be supplying the money, the Panamanian government would make sure the money was supplied correctly. To conclude the U.S. should play a role, not as an active participant, as a form of support for Latin America to go to.
