I believe this song relates to Night because it's about the angel of death also known as Josef Mengel. Before we can talk about the contents of the song and it's relation to night we need to know who Josef Mengel was and his significance. Josef Mengel was a Nazi doctor at Auschwitz concentration camp who performed cruel experiments on his patients, often torturing, killing, and committing plenty of other horrendous acts on them. I choose this scene because it gives me a visual representation of what freeing of the Jews could have been like. This piece of writing connects to Night because it has to do with the same subject as Night. Anne Frank was a Jew during the Holocaust and wrote diaries detailing how she hid from the Nazi's before being captured herself. At the age of 15 Anne's mother died of typhus with Anne dying of typhus shortly after.
