         <description><![CDATA[<div>Establishment</div><ul><li>In 1933 the Nazi party banned and previously existing labour unions and used their assets to establish the DAF</li></ul><div>Tasks:</div><ul><li>in propaganda&nbsp;<ul><li>would serve as an impartial mediator between the bosses workers and state to&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>in reality (for workers)&nbsp;<ul><li>German workers had lost their ability to effectively bargain for better hours of wages</li><li>going on strikes was officially banned&nbsp;</li><li>used as a way for Hitler to keep wages low in certain sectors to stimulate certain parts of the economy</li></ul></li><li>Supervising corporate functions<ul><li>the DAF established several supervisory offices&nbsp; to manage sociopolitical functions within the economy</li><li>such offices included&nbsp;<ul><li>the "Office for Vocational Education and Management" which supervised training of young men into the workforce.</li><li>&nbsp;"Office for Social Responsibility", which promoted the "national socialist model" within the work environment.</li><li>the "Office for the Beauty of Work" which was in charge of creating health and safety standards and ensuring that they were met.</li></ul></li></ul></li><li>Organizing leisure activities<ul><li>the Kdf (<a href="https://www.dhm.de/lemo/kapitel/ns-regime/innenpolitik/kdf">Kraft durch Freude</a>) was created to organize leisure activities for all of the classes. with their establishment, they provided what were previously luxury experiences such as traveling to the working class and gave favorable terms in loans for Volkswagens&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Economic management&nbsp;<ul><li>The DAF initially received its funding from confiscating trade union assets but would later get its funds from compulsory contributions taken from people's wages.</li><li>the DAF used these funds not only for their activities but also to invest in housing and settlement companies, construction companies, insurance companies, banks, publishing and printing companies, shipyards and the VW automobile plant in Wolfsburg.</li></ul></li></ul><div><br></div><div><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
