ATLs are taught across subject areas in all classes. They are covered on a daily basis and explained precisely to students. If done correctly, ATLs will be taught naturally to students and constantly throughout their time in school. In the exhibition, all these skills will be tested as students will be navigating them consistently as they inquiry and grow their ideas more independently and while they balance all the skills.

Throughout their journey in elementary school students are living the learner profile on a daily basis in all their interactions with the community at large. As they develop their exhibition the learner profile will again serve as an important piece to the puzzle as they incorporate the learner profile into their exhibition. As students continue to be lifelong learners these characteristics will continue to be integral to their learning throughout their lifetimes.

The inquiry process in the exhibition is focused on the students conducting this process independently and around a topic that is of interest to them. Throughout their time in the PYP students go through this process again and again and now they have the opportunity to be self directed as they design and explore their own inquiry.
