Setting: small town in Washington MD. Present

Day. it is A dangerous town to grow up in.

Conflict: Ali’s friend ,Gabe, goes missing after being last seen in school. 

 Theme: Quality of friendship is more important than quantity of friendships 

What affects the characters the most is  the setting. It negatively affects Gabe because it's a dangerous place to grow up because there is a lot of crime.

Characters: Ali, Gabe, Ali's dad, Uncle, nana

I felt sad for Gabe because he thought no one would look for him while he was missing. I felt happy that he had one good friend, Ali who cared the most.


The story would have gone differently if everyone tried extra hard to find him because they would find him quicker.
