What can governments do to protect us from the effects of volcanoes and earthquakes?
An earthquake can destroy a lot of buildings the government should provide more materials for stable homes and other building so they won't collapse during an earthquake and probably save lives. For a volcano the government should keep an eye out for warning signs such as the temperature around the volcano suddenly increasing.

What actions can you take to prepare for an volcanic eruption?
 stay away from mud flows if you can't escape quickly then stay indoors to avoid ash falls use a damp cloth or dust mask to help with the breathing.
