      <description>
In the current era, online shopping is being loved by Indonesians, especially young people who are active on social media. No wonder many online sites are growing rapidly. They prefer to stare at the gadget screen to open an online subscription store and choose the items they want, compared to having to go around the mall to get the items they want. But not a few people who do not believe in online stores, they are afraid of being fooled by fake online stores and assume buying goods in online stores, many of them are deterred because the items ordered do not match what they expect. The following is a comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of online and offline shopping in terms of price, time, a variety of goods, transactions, and security.

Most online stores offer much lower prices compared to offline stores. The reason is, now many people know that goods sold on the internet tend to be cheaper because they are not subject to building taxes such as offline stores. Meanwhile, offline stores tend to be more expensive because of the building tax system in offline stores.

Online stores allow shopping for items without having to spend a lot of time. Shopping can be done in your leisure time or during busy hours. Currently, transactions in online stores are getting easier with credit card payments. Meanwhile, offline stores tend to be located in one place and require people to come directly. Of course, this will take consumers&#39; time.

Most offline stores only have limited products. For example, there may be some products that are only available in certain offline stores. The online store allows you to find many products that are not found in offline stores. While in offline stores, the items provided are not so varied. This is due to a very limited range in offline stores to supply new goods.

Besides the advantages of online stores and the weaknesses of offline stores, here are the disadvantages of online stores compared to offline stores.

In making payment and shipping transactions, there is a long time lag. Not to mention if there are obstacles to the shipping service due to overload. If so, you need to be patient for a few days until your order arrives. Usually, online stores do the rules for the buyer by paying first, then the item will be sent to the address. However, there are also those who implement the Cash on Delivery (COD) system. While, in offline stores, payments are made directly without having to wait long.
The online store sets shipping costs that will increase total expenses. The farther the address is, the more expensive the shipping cost. In addition, if the product is shipped from another country, usually you will also be responsible for paying additional taxes, and fears of damage to the goods. Whereas in offline stores, buyers do not have to worry about the existence of damaged goods. Because buyers can check directly during the purchase process. In addition, in offline stores, there is no tariff term for shipping costs.

In online shopping, the risk that can occur is a case of deception. This happens if the site you are visiting is not trusted. For example, the actual item does not exist or the item received is not in accordance with what is offered. Unlike the case with offline stores. Where, buyers can choose goods directly without fear of quality not as desired.

In conclusion, online vs. offline shopping is actually not to be compared. All have advantages and disadvantages. Depending on the needs and conditions of each individual. For that, we only need to adjust to other needs and considerations. In addition, the most important thing is the wise attitude in the shopping, so as not to experience harm.
