2nd Experimental Primary School of Rhodes

The 2nd Experimental Primary School of Rhodes Town is located at the Akademia building, in Ioannis Zigdes Square, in the middle of the island's town center. It has 180 students between the ages of 6 and 12, 9 classes, and 14 teachers that teach a variety of subjects. As an experimental school, we aim to explore and develop innovative actions and educational practices. Our main purpose and vision is that our school will serve democracy and human rights, promote sustainability and culture, and shape active, creative, and environmentally aware citizens. In our school, we nurture active citizens with environmental awareness and consciousness, and with a sense of responsibility towards social matters, fully embracing the importance of "I understand therefore I act" and that taking action, does not only involve governments but each and every one of us.
