Arthuad is an interesting choice, a representative of the socialist party lutte ouvriere. She is a self proclaimed communist, and is focused on worker and economic issues. She has taken several positions in her campaign including increasing the minimum wage. She has also promised to end evictions and mass layoffs, as well as nationalizing all of France's financial institutions. These are all in direct correlation to her communist platform, her ideals center around the economy and creating more power for the national government. She has run in multiple elections since 2001, as the candidate of the workers party and is born and raised in France. In addition to all of this she has no other ideals and is completely focused on workers rights, and in fact refused other ideals. In her own words she did not want her campaign to become “a sounding board for all the fights.”

Since then, he has been re-elected in every legislative election. In the early 1990s, the city of Yerres was in debt to the tune of 20 million euros due to the closure of a huge center that had only been open for a few months. In the 1995 municipal elections, Dupont-Aignan defeated the then-Socialist mayor with 51.8 percent of the vote. In 2008, he was re-elected with 79.70 percent of the vote in the first round, giving him one of France's largest victory margins for a mayor. He seems to have a very big interest in economics and plans to improve the economic wealth of Paris as he was Minister of the Economy and Industry in France in 2014. He early career jobs included Inspector of Finances and Investment Bank. Those early career jobs ended up leading him in the economical side of politics in which he became Deputy Secretary-General of the Elysee. Throughout the years leading up until the 2017 Presidential Election he appeared on many TV shows talking about the importance of politics in society. He also explained about how things would change over time in the economical wealth of France. With his knowledge on the economics side of things he would make a great candidate in the 2022 Presidential Election.

As a self-proclaimed communist her campaigns were about things like increasing minimum wage, stopping evictions/huge layoffs, and unifying French financial institutions. She joined her socialist party as an 18 year old, still in highschool. She ran in legislative and regional elections. She ran for office two times; once in 2012 and again in 2017. In this 2017 election she was within the first 5 candidates to have all 500 needed signatures.
