- In 1959 a young lawyer named Fidel Castro fought against the repressive government.

-JFK demanded that they get rid of the missiles, so he organized a blocking of all cuban ships.
-The Soviet Union removed the missiles as long as the US does not attack Cuba. 
-America decided to break all ties with Cuba. This led to Cuba's suffering.
