Whatever the class really get into. So it changes year to year, when a class really get engaged by a topic that is very rewarding.

Sure here they are.  What goes around comes around!
Tips for MATHS:
1) build confidence.  Find out what they can do.  Hold their hands, working step by careful step.  Lots of examples (more than just the text book).  Explicitly teach a process.  Always model the process.  Never take a short cut.
2) There are some "maths for A-level physics" book around, have a look.
3) INSIST that they always have the equation sheet to hand and that the use it.
4) Peer teaching by pairing up - benefits all.
