Solar panels collect energy using Photovoltaic Cells (PV). Even when it’s not a sunny day, solar panels can still capture and generate some electricity. Also, solar energy is a renewable energy source. If you have solar panels you can use them for upto 10-15 years before they have to be replaced. However, there is a new type of solar panel so-called the ‘micro-inverters’ and they are installed or included with each solar panel and are said to have a longer lifespan upto 25 years!
