The document was to protect those who live here to have rights freedom and peace but partially that was wrong. Everyone except blacks were not able to get have a say in things. The video about how African-American people feel about 4th of July compared to us is much different because they don't feel the same as we do. They don't feel like back than that they really had the freedom that every other person got. The declaration of independence states about how there is equality and liberty and to pursuit happiness, but with slave codes and being brutally worked. It is good that we learn about both good things and bad things about our country because we would be missing out on lots of information and unquestionable theories.
