Odin begged his uncle for a sip, but Mimir told him in order to have a drink he would have to sacrifice something of the same price. Odin took a knife and cut out his eye, and was granted a drink. He strapped on his belt and woke up his wife and asked "what has happened to your golden hair?" Sif looked confused and touched her scalp. Thor said, "It's Loki's fault when something goes wrong. I go to Loki it saves me a lot of time and if it's not him, I ask him for help."   Thor broke down Loki's door, picked him up and asked what he has done while threatening to break every bone in his body. Loki claimed he was drunk and that the dark elves or dwarves can fix it. Loki went to the sons of Ivaldi and told them that Brokk and Eitrti challenged them and must make three gifts for the Gods, and one must be golden everlasting hair. Then he went to Brokk and Eitrti and told them that the sons of Ivaldi had claimed that they were the best and that they challenged Brokk and Eitrti. However they weren't falling for it and told him that if they win, they get his head. Sif got her hair, but the sons of Ivaldi lost because Brokk and Eitrti made a hammer named Mjöllnir for the Thunder God, a hammer that will slay many giants. Brokk and Eitrti won the competition and were about to take Loki's head, but the blade wouldn't pierce him. Loki made an arrangement so no blade will cut him for a day. Instead he sewed his mouth shut and left.

Thor, the son of Odin, is the protector of Asgard and wielder of Mjöllnir and the strongest of Gods with a belt that doubles his immense strength. He is kind, unless you get on his bad side so stay out of his way. Next is Loki. He is bound to Odin by a pact from his father.  He is cunning and people want to like him, but he can't resist a trick or an awful prank. He finds himself drunk and in trouble more often than not. Now the all-father Odin. He is in command; the wisest and only Mimir is smarter. He will not do much, not yet he won't. He has a big part in the end of the worlds. The conflicts range from the end of the world to someone's hair getting completely cut off so you can imagine the wide range of possibilities. They spread the word that whomever builds them a great wall around Asgard will be rewarded. Soon a large man came around and stated he would build this wall in six seasons to in turn get the sun, moon, and the hand of Fray, the most beautiful of gods. The gods laughed but agreed, thinking it wouldn't happen. Three seasons went by and the man finished half the wall; the gods needed to do something, to give away the sun, and the moon would be the end. They realized he did the same thing each day - one day he would ride his horse, and the next come with a load of mountainous bricks. The gods knew this was no ordinary man nor an ordinary horse, so they wanted Loki, the only god who can shape shift. They found Loki in his chambers and told him he had to shape shift to a horse and lure the man's horse away for if he didn't they would punish him. Loki grudgingly agreed and did as he was told. The next two days went by and as the man hauled the bricks, the gods laughed at him. He shouted to the gods they have no honor, and betrayed the pact to which Odin said only we have not done anything nor have we interfered. At this point the wall was nearly finished. The man's robes fell off; he started to get bigger to the point that the gods could not see his shoulders or head. The giant tried to attack the gods but Thor simply threw his hammer, killing the giant but the giant fell on Thor so he could not move.  All of the gods combined could not lift the giant and Thor was trapped. But then Thor's son who was three at the time, walked to his father, picked up the giant to let Thor climb out, and then set him down again. When he would come back, he would look shifty, proud, and scared all at the same time. Odin wanted an answer for why Loki disappeared because he had had a vision that Balder was dead, and the world would end. Odin made Loki talk with threats of eternal punishment, so Loki told him to go to Jötenhiem where he would find his children. Odin did along with the other gods and they found three baby children and a caretaker. Odin ordered the gods to round them up except for the eldest. Odin grabbed her hand for the others were afraid. Back at Asgard, Odin summoned the three kids. First he met Hel, a little girl who was blonde on one side and a dead corpse on the other. Odin sent her to Niflheim to contain and control the dishonored dead. Next was Fenrir, a wolf cub. Odin wanted Tyr to watch him and his growth for every day the wolf would get bigger. The gods wanted to test the wolf so they told him that if he could break the strongest chains, he would be considered one of the strongest beings ever and an equal to Thor. Fenrir agreed. The gods put chains on him and he strained for only a second then broke the chains leaving the gods in defeat. The gods went to the dwarves and payed hefty price to give them an unbreakable material so the dwarves gave the gods a little cloth. The gods went back to the wolf and challenged him again, but he was not so easily fooled. He told the gods that one of them had to put their hand in his mouth if they wanted to put the cloth around him, so Tyr did it (after all, Tyr did play with Fenrir as a cub). Tyr put his hand in Fenrir's mouth and the wolf strained and strained and then asked to be released from the cloth, and the gods laughed except Tyr. Tyr looked at him and nodded, and the wolf bit down. The last of Loki's children was a giant serpent. The gods knew that he was going to be big, so Odin had Thor throw the snake into the water. Thor vowed that one day when the snake was bigger than all the realms combined, that is when Thor would fight it and eventually take the head of the snake.

He told his wife that Balder, her beautiful son, was going to die. He knew what to do, so he called all the gods to the Great Hall. Odin told the gods they needed a plan for Balder or the world would end. Loki scoffed at the idea then suddenly the door burst open and Odin's wife, Frigg, walked in yelling that this is her son and she deserved to have a say in this (she was excluded from the meeting for this very reason). However, she did have a plan - she would go out to everything in the world and ask it not to hurt Balder (I know that sounds crazy, but she is one of the gods of nature). Frigg went out to stone first and asked the stone to not hurt Balder; the stone agreed. She did this to every thing in the known worlds except mistletoe because she thought it was too weak to do any harm. Loki was watching her the whole time, and when she left, he walked up to mistletoe thinking of what to do next. Back at Asgard, the gods were celebrating Balder's invincibility by throwing rocks and spears at him that skipped right over him leaving him unharmed. Thor took up his hammer and swung as hard as he could, the hammer went over Balder's head along with Thor. Hoder, Balder's blind brother, usually was included in these types of things, but Balder was too distracted to notice his absence. This was Loki's chance. Loki went to Hoder and asked why he was so gloom to which Hoder replied that he would like to be a part of the fun. Loki told him he had a dart made of pure mistletoe and that he'll point Hoder in the right direction and when he says throw, throw. Hoder agreed and when Loki told him to throw the gods suddenly stopped laughing as there was a scream and Balder was dead.

All the other tales are of what was; this is now. Loki knew that the gods would come after him because of Balder's death, so he hid. They had already killed Holder for his treachery. Now they would come for him and they did. Loki devised a plan - he would hide on a remote island and wait for when the gods came. He would hide in a cave next to a waterfall, shape shift into a fish and swim away. He then thought of ways the gods might catch him. He made the world's first fishing net but just as he did, he heard the gods approaching. He burned the net and went into the water as a fish. The gods that were in this group were Thor, Tyr, Hiemdall, and Kvasir; Odin had to stay at Asgard. The gods made their way to the cave and found a zigzag pattern scorched into the ground. Kvasir, the smart, figured out with no problem that Loki created a device to catch him leaving Thor and Hiemdall to remake the net. The gods caught Loki because he left out one important part of his plan - more fish. Loki was the only fish in the pond. Soon Odin came and summoned Loki's two sons. Odin looked at them with a pale face as he turned one brother into a wolf. That wolf ate the other brother who did not scream for he was brave, Odin then used the organs of Loki's dead son to bind Loki to three rocks, and the organs turned to stone. Then the gods hung a snake above Loki which would drip its poison on his face for eternity. It starts with three long winters called Fimbulwinter, which lasts for three years. Next all the food will deplete  and brother will turn on brother, father will turn on son, and when there are only a few people left in the world, the earthquakes begin wiping out almost all of the population. When the the worlds shake, Loki will be freed and will summon a boat made from all the dead man's fingernails and sail for Óskópnir, the final battle ground. As he sails, the gods will prepare. Heimdall will use the Gjallarhorn to summon all the gods, the honorable dead, and the valkyrie. As Loki sails for Óskópnir, the forces of darkness come to his side including Jormungandr, Fenrir, Hel, Surtr, the Fire Giant and his armies, Loki's now wolf son, and all the dishonorable dead. The battle will soon begin. Jormungandr, the world serpent, will wrap around the battle filed as far as the eye can see, and then the battle will begin. Odin charges towards Fenrir and will be swallowed whole. Odin's son, Víðarr, will take the scraps of all shoes and make one giant shoe to crush Fenrir. Garm, Loki's other wolf son, and Tyr rip each other apart. Thor will go to kill Jormungandr, but died due to venom by Jomengander. And finally the end of Loki. Loki and Heimdall will be at a stand off where both rush in at the same time, slicing each other's bellies open leaving them both to bleed out. The last battle between Fray and Surtr. The Fire Giant, Surtr, will simply crush Fray and the end will come. Surtr picks up his sword, stabs it into the ground, and everything will go up in flames. The realms will be destroyed, all life destroyed, except for a couple who manage to climb the world tree and survive to start anew. As for the gods, a few survive - Víðarr, Bulder, Magni and Modi. Thor's sons, Magni and Modi, pick up their father's hammer and go to the center of the world tree where they find a chess board, one with gold pieces on the ground all of them representing a person at the battle of Ragnarok.
