Some of their traditions were to sacrifice people, children waited a long time to have a name, and being lazy could get you killed. Emphasis on the last two traditions, Inca children waited years to get a permanent name. Until the children were about two years old they were called a name that meant baby, at two each child got a nickname. At age 13 or 14 the children were given a permanent name by a boy as a coming of age ceremony. Finally, repeated laziness coming from the Incas could result in being murdered or tortured. Some of the ways they were murdered and or tortured were hanging, stoning, or being pushed off a cliff.
