I thought this slide was particularly interesting because of the ideas she addresses and the overlay of different images. The last line, about her art speaking silently, also stood out to me. This seems to be a collage of pictures, maybe including cuttings from magazines, which I find very interesting. A 2D medium I'd like to try is charcoal or maybe chalk, and a 3D medium I'd like to try would be glass, whatever that could look like in this class.

I am amazed with the thought process of this slide particularly and how the artist tried to connect their idea with issues in the society as well as how they got their inspiration from which is "the Baroque style high realism". this is also one of the areas that i am working on is to clearly mention the meaning my artwork is addressing.

I really enjoyed this slide, it seemed really free for her and I love the way she jots down her thoughts. I love how she asks questions to herself like "what does noise communicate?" and the way she explores music as a connection with sharing emotion. This looks to be pen on paper, perhaps with some watercolor or pencil for the colored bits. A 2D medium I'd want to work with is more linoblock printing, and a 3D medium I'd want to work with is sculpture, especially using trash or everyday objects like Savannah did with CDs. Circuit boards and technology are very beautiful to me, and I'd like to create something out of them.

I though this slide was interesting because of how Savanna is experimenting with water colors and showing the different values with every shadow. I also liked how she was looking for a meaning. I also liked how she was experimenting with the shine in certain areas. Showing different forms a light.

I've always worked with 2D elements, however I would like to incorporate 3D elements. I believe it'll give the piece more life and meaning to it.

This is my favorite slide because it shows the freedom and creativity IB students have when exploring and creating our art. Savanna worked digitally and created a GIF; some of the frames are shown near the thumbnails. I love how the visual journal is laid out with the colorful blocks and the cutout of the sex worker. Savanna incorporated quotes as well her own words from her research, showing she fully dove in to the topic of her art. While I am more interested in traditional painting and drawing, which connects to Savanna's other artworks, this slide really helps me understand how to organize a process portfolio and gather ideas. I want my art to mean something, so an approach similar to Savanna's would best lead me to connect art with larger themes.

In this slide Savannah reflects on her work and the process that went into it. What caught my eye was how she used several different references to inform her final piece. I love how she broke down what she did in order to achieve the level of realism that she accomplished. Mentioning how it was difficult to keep the whites due to the use of oil which would blend with everything really showed the amount of effort that she put into it. It was incredible how the final product came out showing how all that effort paid off.
