         <description><![CDATA[<div>The landmark I have chosen for this lesson is Mount Rushmore. Five interesting facts about Mount Rushmore include&nbsp;<br>1.) Mount Rushmore is a sculpture carved into the side of of the Black Hills of South Dakota, USA.<br>2.) Four American Presidents are carved into it, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.&nbsp;<br>3.) Over 400 workers helped to sculpt Mount Rushmore.<br>4.) It took 14 years to carve Mount Rushmore.<br>5.) The whole project cost $989,992.32, that is a lot of money!&nbsp;<br>I chose to research this landmark because I have always wanted to visit it and I love learning more about the history of our country! <br>See picture below: </div>]]></description>

         <title>Niagara Falls</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The landmark I have chosen for this lesson is Niagara Falls. The five interesting facts I found were <br>1.) The Niagara falls is located in both Ontario, Canada and New York, USA.<br>2.) It is made up of three waterfalls called the American Falls, the Bridal Veil Falls, and the Horseshoe Falls. <br>3.) Goat Island is located in the middle of the Niagara Falls, between the Horseshoe Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls<br>4.) The largest vertical drop is about 165 feet<br>5.)
