Five interesting facts about Mount Rushmore include 
1.) Mount Rushmore is a sculpture carved into the side of of the Black Hills of South Dakota, USA.
2.) Four American Presidents are carved into it, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. 
3.) Over 400 workers helped to sculpt Mount Rushmore.
4.) It took 14 years to carve Mount Rushmore.
5.) The whole project cost $989,992.32, that is a lot of money! 
I chose to research this landmark because I have always wanted to visit it and I love learning more about the history of our country!

1.) The Niagara falls is located in both Ontario, Canada and New York, USA.
2.) It is made up of three waterfalls called the American Falls, the Bridal Veil Falls, and the Horseshoe Falls.
3.) Goat Island is located in the middle of the Niagara Falls, between the Horseshoe Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls
4.) The largest vertical drop is about 165 feet
5.) The Niagara Falls were created by glacier activity over 10,000 years ago
I chose to Niagara Falls because I think it is cool how its in two countries at once!
