Now it is not as simple as animals, dirt, and water. Redwood is so much more complicated, with rocks and snow being apart of the ecosystem as well. The forest can get nice blankets of snow, great as a kind of reset on the vast area, and the rocks providing warm dry places to stay. Wind helps spread seeds around and gives birds like the spotted owl lift.

Now dispite this beautiful flourishing forest there are some organisms who are struggling. The northern spotted owl is fighting other towels for habititat loss from cutting trees down. habitat loss and degradation, overfishing, interaction with hatchery fish, and the effects of climatic changes like hotter and drier weather are all due to us humans. There are many other animals hurting due to many different factors, some organisms have even gone extinct.

Thriving life

Now animals aren't just decreasing but there is one animal actually thriving to the point there population increasing. The California condor is thriving in the redwood forest. This bird of prey is thriving in the vast redwood forest.
