Definition: 

Poor would mean to me that I couldn’t afford basic necessities like a house, car, food and utilities (gas/ electricity/ water). That would equate to about 20,000 euros annually, or 55 euros per day.

According to Maddison and UN data, approximately 94% of the world’s population, or over 7 billion people in the world would be classed as poor. 

What do we do with this information:

Since I’m in the top 5% of earners globally, perhaps I should be using some of my own money to help people in poorer countries.
